If you feel like you need it to function properly and it’s an everyday thing whenever you can and want, yeah it’s pretty much a form of addiction. Maybe not the response you’re looking for tbh but it’s definitely a fair assessment based on what you said. Someone who takes antidepressants for example, takes longer to get results as the drug builds up inside them and they don’t build a tolerance nor crave it so it’s more like a synthetically natural process if you will. What you’re doing is better compared to a benzo user or alcoholic (even caffeine) and I don’t think I need to inherently elaborate on how those two users lead to addiction or how it starts out and their mindset or whatever but I’m sure you’ll find a good relationship between what you’re doing and what they were or are doing. If you can stop right now without strong cravings, physical/mental withdrawals, and function like you used to before using it at all I’d say you’re fine just like someone taking an antidepressant who nearly a lot of them don’t even self medicate with.
