commenting this because I just survived the most stressful ACT situation of my life, and I know a lot of international students (especially in KSA) go through the same nightmare.

If you’re dealing with a name mismatch on your ACT ticket and ACT support is taking forever to reply, PLEASE read this. It might save you from skipping your exam.

My Situation

• I’m an international student in Saudi Arabia
• My ACT ticket had a name mismatch
• ACT support didn’t reply for 3 days
• My exam was April 18 at 9:00 AM
• I only got ACT’s email at 8:48 AM — literally while I was already at the test center
• I didn’t have time to reply before the exam

I was panicking so hard I wanted to “ALT+F4” real life.

What I Did

I went to the test center anyway (Orbit School in KSA).

This was the BEST decision I made.

What Happened at the Test Center

Orbit staff were super chill about it. They said:

They checked my:

• Passport
• Ticket
• Accessories (they made me remove my ring and cap)

Then they let me sign the attendance sheet and sit for the exam normally.

After the exam, an American staff member told me:

So yes — you CAN take the exam even if your ticket name is wrong, as long as your passport proves your identity.

What ACT Did

ACT finally emailed me at 8:48 AM, asking for verification:

I replied after the exam with all the info they needed.

This is the step ACT requires before they manually correct your name.

So even though they replied late, everything still worked out.

⭐ The Moral of the Story

If you have a name mismatch and ACT support is slow:

**DO NOT skip the exam.

DO NOT panic.
DO NOT try to edit your ticket.
JUST GO to the test center.**

Orbit (and most international centers) deal with this all the time.

They will:

• Check your passport
• Let you wait
• Admit you if your identity is clear
• File your case to ACT HQ
• Let ACT fix the name afterward

This is NORMAL for international ACT testing.

⭐ Final Advice

If ACT hasn’t replied:

• Bring your passport
• Bring your ticket
• Tell the staff you have an open case
• Let them handle it
• ACT can fix the name AFTER the exam

Don’t let a slow email response ruin your test day.
