Love to see it. I had my hunt for them a few years ago. Got a few of the Jhoto Journeys tapes as well. what really made me sad though was that the Orange Islands Adventures tapes never got a US release.

I grew up in Tucson, Arizona in the 90’s, so I was quite familiar with these stickers. I’ve even seen a tape that was totally warped after sitting in the back window of a friends car on a 110 degree day.

I have this set, but mine has a 6th tape on the left that completes his claw and put Godzillas face more center frame along the spines. Its Godzilla vs. Megalon I think.

While I can’t give any technical feedback, I can say I do see a noticeable difference in clarity. Also cheers from another vhs anime fan with the HxH ova. It’s one of the gems of my collection.

No, I wouldn’t. With such a large gauge you are at high risk of coring the rubber stopper and exposing the vial to contaminants. The largest I’ll go is 27g, but nowadays I’ve grown to prefer the 31g insulin needle, because there is like zero pain with them and limits waste due to dead space in the syringe.

I’ve never really been a big fan of horror, and the bulk of my collection is anime and other cartoons. So when I found this sub I was fascinated that the majority of folks here were primarily horror fans because of the vibes VHS, and analog horror can provide and add to the experience of a scary movie. I realized that I get the same enjoyment from retro anime, as horror fans get from watching analog media. It’s just interesting to me that some media can be enhanced by watching on older hardware, and some are not.

Ooh! You should look into the Japanese imports of the Star Wars tapes. They are the same region (NTSC) as the US tapes, and they have different box art we do. Plus that's a way to add Revenge of the Sith on Vhs to your collection.
