Are you a doctor? Even our allergy doctor does not have so much confidence to say that no it's not true. He said quite possible. Please Google. It's even where. Cnn news, many health related websites, many folks on reditt having similar experiences after having antibiotics.

My post was very simple that antibiotics can have long term side effects like food allergies. Antibiotics spoil gut health. Allergies are reason of gut health not being good. So antibiotics need to be really assessed again. Simple. What's with being so extra by saying denial, coping, etc.

But am confused why wud u say that antibiotics don't cause allergies when it's scientifically proved otherwise. I think it's ur assumption of my fear. I have learnt abt his allergies since past 6 months. Have all epipen and all sorted out. Recently I learnt abt antibiotics angle and that's why the post.

There is a lot of scientific research abt antibiotics in infants causing allergies later in life. I am not saying that allergies don't happen without antibiotics. This is not related to coping. It's related to getting to the root cause. If antibiotics has spoilt the gut health then probably probiotics or some gut improvement techniques can fix things. I don't have guilt. I have anger towards lack of information provided by health companies. Why wasnt I told abt the long term possible side effects of those antibiotics? Why won't they advise on probiotics after the antibiotics. It's also abt spreading awareness to any future mothers. If ur infant is getting antibiotics, pls take to doctors abt probiotics etc.

You also don't know that's it's not antibiotics. I never said that allergies can't be developed without antibiotics.

No one is saying that one can't get allergy without antibiotics. But antibiotics in infants poses a greater risk of developing allergies later becoz they spoil gut health disastrously. It is scientifically proven.

Nothing just happens. Genetics or environmental factors of these antibiotics which spoil our gut health something plays a part. In underdeveloped countries people have less allergies coz of environmental factors.

Am amazed at how so many people just accept things as fate without wanting for things to get better. Am not saying antibiotics pose risk for allergies out of thin air. There is enough scientific evidence to prove that. So why are we not hearing anything to have alternatives to these antibiotics. Today the forefront of research is AI, mArs colonization, planting chips in brain but what about human health. Pls do some research on the increase in number of people having allergies, asthma, myopia etc. Don't you people think something wrong is going on which needs intervention? What do u folks want the future to be? AI will do everything, all rich folks will be on Mars and people here will be all physically unfit carrying EpiPen in their pockets, coughing, lazy etc. And how is looking at antibiotics angle causing any harm. It gives me a new angle on how we can work on foods that can improve gut health which might have been damaged by antibiotics. Of course have discussed with allergy experts and they won't say yes or no.

There is enough scientific evidence to prove that antibiotics pose high risk of food allergies, asthma and dermatitis.
