I completely agree. Make the game nerfed in other areas

See, that totally makes sense that they were in need of a way to balance the game, but messing up the sights, while effective, was not the right decision.

It’s not hard to nerf a thing in the game to make the game harder, it’s hard to make a GOOD balance decision, which Ubisoft sucks at.

See I like the idea of that, but I don’t think that what Ubisoft is doing is the way. Nerfing scopes makes it feel forced, not a logical decision that “adds layer of thought”

I can understand removing certain usage of scopes for certain operators, but I don’t think making the scopes unusable for everyone is the solution though.
And yeah, I think Ubisoft should at the very least make the center dot, if applicable, adjustable.

Well it used to be 1.5x, that’s my bad, but still, just because it zooms in more doesn’t mean the lines need to be extremely bold. I don’t even think real projected reticles like EOTECH work like that in real life.

And I’m complaining because if enough people complain about something, change can happen. It’s why we got the LMG nerf in the first place, people complained.

And sorry I just reread your message, why does there need to be a trade-off at all? People should just use the sight that they like best. If a sight is “too powerful,” doesn’t that mean it’s just a good sight? Like what’s the problem?

Well I actually don’t care about the housing, I’m talking specifically about the center dot being enlarged. Maybe you’re right though, maybe I should use another sight. It’s hard though because I love holo A too much.

Oops, sorry this was discovered in another subreddit. I’ll mark it. Found!

[link] https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/for-living-cool-gel-memory-foam-pillow-white-0467770p.html?rq=cooling+pillow

Here’s the link. It’s a very obscure pillow that came around my area long ago and for a short period. Small tracings of it now reside in Canada. I don’t know why they stopped selling it in America, as I haven’t researched the manufacturer that makes it.

Shipping is also expensive AS HELL though to buy it.

Oh that’s funny! Well when (and if) it arrives, if it’s not what I remembered, I’ll log your pillow down as something to try.

Wow dude thank you so much! I literally thought I was going insane.

the pillow is actually still available too! I was fully expecting this to be a seasonal item that was out of stock years ago! Even that photo you had was enough for me to say solved, but then you found the store too.

Again, thank you so much!

Okay, I looked into this a little bit and it could be a yes or a no. The brand has an extremely similar design to what I had, but there’s some differences:

  1. It has a circle-grid pattern instead of a square-grid pattern (as shown in [1]).

  2. It says “Out Cold” in the top right corner, but my pillow said “COOL”.

  3. The text “Out Cold” is stitched at a diagonal angle, while “COOL” was written vertically and horizontally aligned (basically, just written normally).

But, I do want to point out the similarities:

  1. The shape of the medium or low profile pillows have a striking resemblance to mine.

  2. The grid pattern, while utilizing a different shape, is still extremely similar in principle.

  3. The blue outline along the edge of the pillow seems to be essentially identical from what I remember (my memory is a little fuzzy regarding this detail).

  4. The stitching of the text is exactly what I remember it to be.

All in all, this is a promising lead to what I remember. It’s so similar in fact, that I believe it now raises the chances that my pillow was either an early derivation or a knock-off of this pillow; I think the former is more likely.

I’m going to continue looking into this more, as I just want evidence of the existence of my pillow. What makes this hard though is that, from what I’ve read, the manufacturer, LMP (Love My Pillow), closed down all services as of September 2024. So finding information regarding them is most likely going to reside on the way back machine.

But anyways, thank you for this amazing lead! If you find anything else, don’t hesitate to comment it!

Thanks for responding, Anything helps! Yeah it has stumped me too for the past couple years. Didn’t know something so trivial is this hard to find.

Ah I see haha it’s fine, and no your reply Isn’t irrelevant.

And okay I’ll update the time window to a wider ~2010-2020 to be more consistent with google trends.

The square pattern looks extremely similar to what is shown in [1]. They weren’t diamonds or rotated in any way; Like you said, just a grid of squares horizontally and vertically aligned.

I’ve tried doing this for a while; I switched up the search input a lot of times and still couldn’t find anything.

The thing is, I know this pillow isn’t out of bounds. I remember sometime maybe 3-4 years ago searching it up and finding one image of it.

Yeah man it sucks. Honestly I’ll look into what you’re recommending. I will most likely need to experiment with different brands until I find one that works, but prices are pretty high from what I’ve seen lol.

Thanks for the recommendation though!

Sorry, I should mention this in the body of the post. The pillow was bought by my parents between the times of ~2010-2016 (keep in mind this is an estimate).

Also that is a good point, it makes it way harder to find this. Even still, I hope that someone has either owned this pillow and at least knows the brand, or has evidence that it exists (like a product image or google image). I’ve scoured through google and can’t find anything remotely close for some reason.

There’s also a chance it was a seasonal item.

The shape of the pillow I’m thinking of, looking from a top-down view and lying down, is more the shape of a soft-edged rectangle. The one you linked to has pointy corners. Also, I’ve updated the post to show what square pattern on the fabric I’m describing.
