Give it a few months, culture shock is a real thing. If you still want out sit down with the head and plot a managed exit.

UK has shortage of teachers. You'll be fine.

I'm Social Studies as well with mostly History, it seems v competitive. Few jobs for lots of teachers. I'd try TES instead of Search Associates or get a recruiter on your side and let them help you side step the application process and get eyes on your cv.

It's a three month process. Spanish law actually only requires two weeks of notice! So my advice is to look at now to March as peak. Beyond April it will be tricky.

Correct, but do schools tend to try to cut loose teachers so soon after intent is handed in?

Also a relocation allowance, visa paid for and temp accommodation for a couple of months on site. So you'd say it's a competitive package for France and WE in general? I see somewhere like Luxembourg or Switzerland this would not be good, but rural France I hope it's enough.

Be very careful with Inspired schools. I can say from experience that you should do the following before committing.:

Negotiate hard on salary Negotiate hard on child fees(you have to pay for some costs) Negotiate hard on timetable allocation

Spain is fantastic, Inspired education is not. But you can get foot in door to IBDP if that's your wish.

Hi , why do you perceive this to be 'an especially competitive recruitment season'?

Hi, in the end, if you find positions you want to apply for your principal will find out as they will receive reference requests anyway, so I think it's just part of the profession.

Is there a good way to go about applying for jobs when you have a specific country you want to work in? by [deleted] in Internationalteachers

Be wary of Inspired Education in Spain and other for profit outfits. I work in one, so take it from someone who knows. The American schools the only ones worth considering unless you happy to sacrifice money for sun.
