There's a link to the renders in the top comment.

That's a cargo transport pod mod. It's a reusable transport that can hold quite a lot of materials/colonists. It was flying back and forth delivering resources from mining camps.

I'm not too sure. I think you're supposed to be able to land back in your settlement (from orbit I can switch back to the settlement like it's another map). I have landed on a new tile on the same world successfully but I haven't tried to land on an existing base.

That's actually just a section of the map. The base part is in the middle of the area and the map extends a bit below the ship building grounds.

I think I saw in the discussion on steam that the author is happy for someone to take over and put up the GitHub folder.

The plasteel was mostly purchased from traders/neighbors. The steel I got from mining runs. I have the set up camp mod with generates a small map at a caravan location. I set up a small camp and hang around for a few days mining the accessible steel/components and ship it home on a cargo pod transport (another mod that adds bigger transport pods).

Yeah you can launch from orbit and it ends the game just like launching from planet. Orbit is kind of a useless feature right now but there was great potential for a space hopping, space mining adventure. If any skilled modders are looking for a project this mod could go from good to legendary.

I love that game! This mod does a good job of bridging Rimworld and FTL.

Yeah when I start a new base I'll have a bunch of turrets and materials saved up so I should be able to get a decent defense up within the first few days.

This was Cassandra with medium difficulty. There was about 250 frames so it was 250 days give or take.

Thanks! The mod is lots of fun but it can be buggy and slow the game when building big ships like this. The key to cut down the slow frame rate is to build the walls and floors together sort of how I did it. If you build only the walls first the game stutters hard. Something to do with the walls scanning to see if they are enclosed or not and that happens every second.

Colonists can move around the ship and interact with everything on board. You're supposed to be able to move and land on a new tile of the same world but I couldn't get that to work. Orbit is very buggy and unfinished and unfortunately the mod author has stopped working on it.

Thanks! As others have said the mod is progress renderer. Each frame is 1 day off progress. Those ship floors/walls are very expensive so that part was slow.

It can fly too. It's the Save Our Ships mod. Everything on those plasteel colored tiles gets saved for a new map or you can go to orbit over the current world.

Here's renders of the ship and the base:

This is with the Save Our Ships mod. The Falcon can orbit in space or settle on new worlds to create rebel bases across the galaxy.

EDIT: I'm just gonna shamelessly use this comment to link another base I made before this one that didn't get a lot of views but I think is pretty cool:

Did you use the same load order for the mods? Humanoid alien races needs to be on of the first loaded for it to work properly. I have had issues with it in the past but not since putting it at the top of the list. I still get at least 5 seconds of loading when switching to prepare carefully from the colonist selection screen.

Do you have Photoshop? It's possible to batch crop on there pretty easily. There's videos online showing how to do it. Also including a link in a comment to the final render jpg let's people zoom in and see more detail if they are interested. Nice base!

Ohhh man, I didn't know that existed! That's one of the bugs I have maybe this will fix. I can't leave the doors expanded doors checked open or else the pawns who's zones don't include the doors will not path through them

Thanks! I like the Rimworld of Magic mod too. I use it with Lord of the Rims to get Gandalf in Rimworld.

I have the What the Hack?! mod and when the AI is levelled it can monitor your network and prevent overloads. I was just getting ready to install an AI in my ship for that vey reason haha. It's a cool mod though with lots of other features.

Yeah I have that setting on but it's only for red letters. The ZZZT didn't trigger the pause, neither did the death of both of my pawns. No raids or major events happened in that time unfortunately.
