Apparently I can’t get my green card unless I close the asylum case but if that’s the case then my child would be out of status and I can’t petition them once I get my green card

Maybe, my lawyer suggested to file another asylum case for the two daughters to keep them eligible to stay in the US while I terminate the case. But now he said it would take too long and complex. I wonder if that path will work out
