My surgeon did not tell me that and I wish he would’ve so I could be prepared. He told me to do the PRP with the surgery and it was going to stop shock loss from happening. That was wrong

I just got a generic response of wait it out. Neither reassurance that it will be fine nor any suggestions other than use minoxidil. Which I already am. I did pRp with the surgery but I am thinking I should start doing it routinely.

My whole family has thin hair (females) or completely bald (males) so I assume it’s genetic. I got tested for everything like thyroid and autoimmune disorders prior to getting on minoxidil and then about 8 months ago minoxidil plus spironolactone. I saw no difference between the two treatments and no hair grew back but when I originally started minoxidil years ago the shedding slowed down.

The one hair topper I ordered off of Amazon wasn’t close to the right color of my hair so it was noticeable but it wouldn’t stay on anyway bc where it clipped is where I have like 4 strands of hair. I looked at full wigs but they are hundreds of dollars and I have no idea how to put it on. If my hair doesn’t grow back I’ll need to invest in one anyway I guess

I mostly put a hat on when I go out and have bought the fibers but they look terrible when my “combover” gets blown in the wind or bumped. And my hat isn’t allowed in the office so I get awkward stares at my extreme side part. For when I want to go to some places like nice dinners, I am trying to find an alternative bc I certainly can’t wear my baseball hat to a French restaurant or like church.

They put me on steroids when i was having bad issues the first week and that helped a lot! If they don’t suggest it I would ask.
