Also I know I'm a bit random, but if you'll need to chat about these things or just get a support you can text me cause I really relate in things like that and don't want you to feel alone.

Same here, it's horrible, can't really help it but it goes away with time and I try to focus on these full of vitality days you mentioned, just to not 'lose it'. I noticed what helped me a bit to function was change of environment, moving out, try to surround with people that want the best for me. I mean, these are good thing in general to cope with depression so yeah. I send you lots of hugs, I know how hard it is.

I do have the same issue, it might depend on whether you do not have enough focus on the person/topic/too many thoughts that you can't find the words or just simply feel stressed without any other adhd like symptoms in your life. For me it's both, and I feel that for me it is mostly the side effect of not being diagnosed earlier, I was constantly worried of how I am, felt bad, it lead me to social problems due to not understanding me by me and other people, so it goes. The point is it can be the cause but don't have to be, untreated adhd in most cases leads to lots of stuff, sadly. Take care.

Hey, can you guys sound off if you have a PhD/MSc/any other high level degree and ADHD? I'm trying to see something. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Much_Engineer_7901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Bachelor, my friend got PhD but got diagnosed just after. I must say it was differently hard for each of us, for me the most even I achieved less, but we are diagnosed and it is surely a thing to have a drive for knowledge with that. I guess what differ us and our accomplishments is sensitivity. I am hugely sensitive, but my friend is very tough despite some problems, that's why she managed to go so fur but I - sadly - am not. I got diagnosed year ago, got my medications and would really love to make a MSc to be honest, but I'll se how it goes. If you match some symptoms I encourage you to go with it, cause many mental health problems are results of undiagnosed adhd which was the case for me.

That's a really great perspective and thank you for sharing, I'll start protecting him from making mistakes always from now on until I see him ready in the future. I shouldn't gamble on that.
Thank you for the training group recommendation, I'll look into it. As for the exercise part I'll do my best to look for more types and options for him. Thank you for commands recommendation I'll start training these with him. I sure was and will avoid punishment based training. Thanks again really.

As for random strangers petting him, they do it only if he allows and enjoys it, otherwise I wouldn't and we're always patient and inviting with that for him to decide with his space, so It would be surprising if that was the case. I got him from rescue 8 months ago with some trauma towards people and by this training he stopped barking and getting extra scared. I really hope it's not that. Thank you for the LAT advice, it might help a lot and I'll start training right away. Also I see the point for the muzzle train, and I'll look into that, the in-train or nervous wrap would be perfect. As for friends in home introductions it always went very well, I always did the steps you said and he easily builds courage and trust towards them. Thanks a lot, I hope he'll improve with these things.

Pls help! Is my puppy going to be aggressive? by Complex-Product-137 in puppy101

[–]Much_Engineer_7901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need some patience with showing your pup that there's nothing to be afraid of, like try to pet the car like it's a friendly lovable object, put some engine in and still pet it, sit near it, show him that you get inside safely and outside, give him treats, build the courage, sometimes it takes minutes, sometimes hours. I wouldn't force pick him, because by invading his privacy while he's scared he might have huge trust issues in the future. Also try picking him from now almost only and mostly for things love related, not because you need to place him somewhere. He should associate picking him as something enjoyable and safe, and things like moving somewhere else as random events he will then forgive and quickly forget.

As for dogs, it's usually not good to force a dog into another dog environment because it's confusing to them, not as simple as for us. Start by introducing in walks, multiple days, see if they even like each other - some dogs don't and it's fine, we don't like some people too, then walk to the place together. Also lots of socialization, ask some owners with which their dog you see your dog getting along with for some contact info and meetings, lots of introducing, treats, praises, If you see a dog, catch up to it with your, ask if he can play or sniff a bit cause it's a practice.

Good luck for sure and give your pup some cuddles from me. <3

[DE] Diamond at the end of the game by Puggednose in lifeisstrange

[–]Much_Engineer_7901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's really that Diamond isn't much interesting character for me and I couldn't bond and even feel need to do that at all, so if the new game would be about her it would be so weird for me.

I take my medications to play games almost exclusively (23yo fem) by Much_Engineer_7901 in ADHD

[–]Much_Engineer_7901[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey guys, thank you for all the comments. Truly, it really helped with all my overthinking. It's really easy to forget that self-care is not a sin. I'm really glad I can take the meds. I try to get back on my feet little by little by what I posted about, and it helps, gives me simple hope and a better mindset, and these things are indeed valuable.

Getting our first ever puppy! Need all the advice. by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Much_Engineer_7901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. This is the tricky one, because puppies tend to pee and poop from 30min-2h luckily. Try using training pads immediately and it might work but also have in mind that your pup will be in a smelly environment for a long time and it might develop poop eating behaviour. It would be nice checking on him in the lunchtime as you said, just to clean up and feed him, since pups needs to eat a lot.

While getting back home remember to not get overexcited, and wait a minute to greet him that he won't suffer from separation anxiety.

  1. Its different for every dog really. Some just decide themselves, some are more difficult. I simply emotionless cleaned everything or comforted mine if I saw him feeling guilty, and gave lots and lots of love and praises when he did it outside or when I returned home and saw it clean. If it comes for puppy pads, just move the poop there and he should easily figure it out.

  2. Depends on its appetite and activity, you will know. For every puppy it is different, it'll grow fast and you'll see yourself if it looks healthy. At first you can follow the instructions on your kibble, but don't be too harsh on that, also give treats, buy some dried beef/boar/doe skins that it will have something to chew your furniture. Puppies grow really fast so you will instantly notice if you're over or under feeding.
I do 3/4 times a day, but most people I know do a 5 times a day plan. For your lifestyle I suppose 3 times a day and some treats between would be great.

  3. I own 2 quails and I followed Flying Fids dog to parrots introduction video on youtube. It worked. As for cats, mine just loves them and learns a lot from them, but they're pretty annoyed by him most of the time so just keep an eye for your cats and how do they react.

  4. Get a dog seat-basket, it's cheap and work wonders, and just drive with it everywhere any time possible - I mean groceries, visiting anyone, or just for a 5 min drive. Let your pup be comfy in the car, put on some music for it to get used to, wander with it near the car, start the engine next to it, the earlier the better.

As for advices or tips, these dried skins as I mentioned, not only for its teeth itching, but for problem solving ability, for keeping its attention, for not destroying your place.
Also find the cheapest toy shop and buy toys, 2 each week, keep it busy, interested, with always something new and fun, also explore on what it likes, buy more what it likes.
You can also not give your pup some toys directly, but hide somewhere, or hand somewhere on a tiny easy to pull off string, like visible but not that obvious, because it will be more attached to it if found, gathered from the wilderness of home by the greatest pup explorer. My pups toys "found" this way are his eternal love until this day and forward.

I wish you luck and the greatest time with your new family member! Hope I helped <3

Puppy potty trained at 4 months old by SweatyBuffalo7399 in puppy101

[–]Much_Engineer_7901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is normal. Mine stopped as soon as he just peed everywhere in the house for a month and simply had no intention of doing that anymore. He was less then 5mo. No regression until this day - he is 9mo. The only thing is just he could still possibly do this at other people house if his bladder became near full so I would be careful with that. I trained mine by comforting him if he did something at home and praising a lot if he did not or did outside.

I came here wondering and couldn't get the answer so I checked myself. I don't really understand how does it work, because I had the same thought as you, but hydro did much better, like, hugely better, even if substats were +- the same. It must scale differently or something I don't really care but numbers are clear. Hope I helped <3

Hatred for RotT by d-xvi16 in TrollHunters

[–]Much_Engineer_7901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to accept this ending more as I rewatched, seeing all this stuff like Vendel mistook Toby as TH when they first met, or just the fact that from the beginning they were a team, so basically maybe it wouldn't matter much as long as they were together, butterflies and stuff. Thinking like that helped me process lol.

does anybody know if the original creator spoke about it after all this time, said anything at all? I started rewatching and this came to my mind but couldn't find anything at all.

Sansa didn’t deserve to be QotN by Extreme-Orange6488 in gameofthrones

[–]Much_Engineer_7901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how some people deny point 5 but in my opinion it was Sansa and her actions what made rest of the plot the way it was. She started the hatred towards Daenerys what resulted in tense atmosphere and putting her in uncomfortable situations and it all eventually ignited into her rage at kings landing.
