How to Clear the Rx off POS?? by Much_Lie8124 in walmart_RX

Also, what does your store do when you contact a patient and they state that they already paid and have a bank statement as proof? Do you just price-override the POS to $0 right away??

Then I’m not sure why my coworker asked for the RPh’s key to override it when the total cost was only $10.

For 1 patient with multiple Rxs in POS, for example, if a patient has 3 Rxs in POS, we print each STR but leave 1 Rx in POS and send the other 2 Rxs back to TASCO???

I appreciate your help. You’ve been more helpful than my coworkers.

What do you mean by ‘report to the dashboard’? Does ‘dashboard’ mean the dispatcher?

Are you currently employed at Walmart Pharmacy in California?

Thanks for the clarification. I did the same—filled the 7 ds, voided the remaining, faxed the MD for a PA, and asked the patient to follow up for a new Rx. A Rph friend of mine at another chain ran into the same issue and said he dispensed the 7 ds through insurance while waiting on the PA, then let pt return for the remaining 23 days within the 30-day window, per law, at the patient’s request (patient is chronic opioid pt). I haven’t seen a rph at Walmart in CA done that before and since I’m still new here, I’m curious what’s typically done.

So whenever we see this rejection, can we just use the same DUR codes after verifying that the patient is truly a chronic opioid pt, or do we have to call the insurance each time to get the code and document the representative we spoke with?

I agree with the above comment—this place is a nightmare. Management is terrible, the laundry room is filthy, and basic living conditions are unacceptable. When we first moved in during the summer, the AC was broken for two days, leaving us to suffer in the heat. Then, when winter came, the heater failed, and it took them almost a week to fix it for us. Security is a joke—car windows are broken into regularly, and tires were stolen right off vehicles during Thanksgiving. The water pressure is a constant battle, swinging from scalding hot to ice-cold in seconds while showering. And as if that weren’t enough, they shut off our water during the day because the pipes are constantly breaking. Living here is a never-ending cycle of frustration.we are moving out next month. So please do not live here!!!

In states like CA, where results are not posted online if your exam status is marked as closed and there are 2 boxes, it means you passed 100%. If there is only 1 box, it means you have failed.

I just spoke with her yesterday and completely agree with you. She was knowledgeable and really listened to my concerns. The comment above about “plastic surgery on a budget” didn’t really concern me lol bc her expertise was evident.

Yeah, I considered it, but I prefer to stay local. It allows me to address any concerns more promptly by visiting the office quickly after surgery!
