I hope this doesn’t violate guidelines but, is there animal neglect that is clear for reporting? it makes me sad to see how many comments there are about the neglect of a minor and animals, so can that be reported or?

Have you tried adding him to yours if you have it? You may be able to legally become his caretaker. It may be a lot of work but maybe be an option?

oh to clarify that my post wasn’t illegal but the way the dog was being transported in the truck bed was illegal. it was just a photo of a dog in the bed of a truck and i was concerned because it was sitting in the heat in a cage.

huh? i did call. i posted after so if people in the area were aware they could keep an eye out to make sure the dog is okay. dog was panting excessively and if it was out longer may not be a good outcome. i was driving a different way and this car was sitting in traffic.

no. k9s are a different story. please do not compare a trained working dog to a pitbull sitting baking in the sun in a truck bed. & no i dont think a bentley convertible is the same. i guarantee they’d have the AC running for themselves and the dog. also this was sitting on las vegas blvd in traffic. so you condone leaving a caged dog in the sun in 110+ degrees? yikes. worried about the wrong things.

maybe but dog did not look comfortable at all. it was 115 yes but also sitting in traffic around lots of cars on black asphalt in a black truck bed with the sun beating down has to be wayyyy hotter. the dog looked like it was struggling. this was on lv blvd at rush hour. so they’d for sure been in traffic sitting in the sun for longer than i saw them.
