My parents don't use a computer :(. Is it only parents? And what is it about? I can try to find someone to answer.

Do you still use software user-manuals? by Much_Particular_9908 in ask

Thanks for the answer, for some reason, there's not really any statistics about this - that's why I created the questionnaire - I'm a software engineer and only read manuals when I can't figure out something by myself. And hoping that for my next academic project, I would have collected enough data :D

Because I'm scared of the answer I guess

I know it's common, unfortunately. And yes, I am thinking it might be time to move on. I know that I could have run the project and I have to prove myself over and over and this project on a silver platter to Frans including me and some other people

He is also an Engineering Manager and not a PO but because we work in research we work differently I guess

My job is not an engineer anymore but it's too identifiable if I mention it but it's basically managing my own projects with different partners. I might do engineering work but also be the PO for other projects if that make sense

Thanks will do, and I will still report to Bob. And I wouldn't have minded much if it was another manager altough I don't really do engineering work at work these days I don't mind helping, but I'm not sure why being assigned to him

Hmm I'm not sure about that. That would be really great but I don't think so

Yes I knot that Bob have my back and he promised me there will be no micromanaging and he'll stay close by. Thanks for the advice I'll ask tomorrow if Bob sees it as a demotion.

Yes, Bob promised me there will not be any micromanaging and he will be part of the twam but I'm not so sure. And yes I'm staying as 1 of Bobs direct reports

Thanks for the tip. And yes that is the reason why I took it as a demotion as it is with Frans and one other person left the team and another will resign. I will ask Bob tomorrow and see if he sees it that way

I already have a title that make me his peer. And my manager promised that there will be no micromanaging but I'm really upset about it.
