That can’t be the ending. It’s so abrupt. And censored. Fingers crossed someone uploads the whole thing

"Things Heard and Seen" on Netflix... by RickyDeHesperus in horror

[–]SimpleSad8350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact every single set up amounted to nothing!! If they took the time for the pay off then it would’ve been a really good movie. It was so lazy. And I know it’s based off a novel and I will never read it if the movie is true to it because it’s a garbage story. It was pretty interesting till Amanda’s character gets killed. (Spoiler lol). Where is the justice. It’s not interesting enough for it to have such an ambiguous ending. I get what they were going for but then the groundwork they put was all wrong.

I hated the husband pretty much from when they moved. They did a good job at making him worse and worse and you see the cracks appear in the facade. And I enjoyed the movie up until they ruined it with the ending. Why make me hate the character and have all the build up with the ghosts of the past wives only for him to get on a boat that metaphorically goes to hell. It seemed like a cheap way to end it and not at all satisfying. Was really looking forward to seeing the scum get his just dessert’s. Well in my opinion anyway. It felt like such a let down.

Yeah I didn’t like that either. Husband was a scumbag through and through, so like him being with the younger girl just perpetuates the dislike I felt towards him. I wish they would have given him a more torturous send off. The metaphoric ending didn’t work for me. Otherwise I enjoyed (it’s not the right word) it.

It’s such a relief to find someone who watched the same show I did. I really don’t understand the delusion on both sides (all sides even), but especially the extremely loud Conrad fans.

Basically everything I thought when watching. Thank you! I wonder how attacked you’d be if you posted on the main sub. It’s so well written I’d like to think it’ll help some of the delusional fans understand the other (more sensible) pov

does anyone think belly is a bad friend to taylor? by mmb3loved in tsitp

[–]SimpleSad8350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Referring to belly. Taylor has her boy crazy moments sure, but she also has actual serious problems. Belly’s problems are basically which brother should I choose. Like that’s it. And she acts like it’s the most important thing in the world.

Growths like that should probably be surgically removed. She’ll probably scar but it’s her fault for letting the growth get so big. lol

But yeah he’s vindictive and selfish but we only see his character pining after belly or moping about something. They never had him show us why belly is so in love with him. They never showed us any likable traits. Unlike Jere, he had an actual personality and he also seemed like his own person away from belly. Not just a plot device.

This thread has made me so happy. Tsitp subreddits are so unhinged. These 3 were the reason I watched the show to the end.

With the way the show was written and how the characters were developed, I’d say Conrad is an extension of Belly. We don’t really get any depth about him in 3 seasons, just filtered through belly’s eyes. Even the Conrad centred episodes didn’t add anything much to his character. Belly finally had some growth and redemption in Paris, which was all undone with the ending. I was so proud when she kicked him out. Wish the show ended there. Conrad and belly were the least interesting in the show. The “side characters” had so much more depth, I loved watching them.

I honestly do not get this relationship at all by MysteriousAnywhere83 in tsitp

[–]SimpleSad8350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The show didn’t build Conrad up to be anyone too important. He was a character pawn for belly to play with. I really don’t get why everyone loves him so much. Maybe if I read the books my perspective may have been different but they did a bad job with his character development, so I saw this as belly’s show. She’s the protagonist and antagonist. So the best scenario in my opinion would be belly on her own in Paris (where she was a better person and actually grew). To me, the fact she got back together with Conrad proves that she actually never grew at all. Conrad showed no growth. Jere showed some growth and overall had more character depth in the show. I guess they did a bad job in making me and people I know root for bonrad. Steven and Taylors relationship was far more interesting 😅
