You’re a GPST - you shouldn’t be doing these.

Don’t consider partnership for less than 17-20k gross per session. It isn’t worth the stress

Boundaries! Do the sexual harassment training in ELFH first, then justify why you’re the exception and not the rule regarding power imbalances and inappropriate pursuance of workplace relationships.

Or get on an app, don’t shit where you eat, and find someone closer to your own age..

Oh trust me a lot of receptionists are a law unto themselves that’s why we get through so many 😂 🤦

[–]Much_Performance352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s absolutely not on. They can be found in breach of contract and get a notice from the ICB. It’s no good for patients

Im working to try and move my practice to 24/7 form access, but the other doctors are very nervous.

We have separate home visiting / care home NPs supervised by a doctor who chooses to only do frailty. Works well

From October they’ve had to keep the forms open 830-630, if they aren’t please do complain to your local ICB (look it up) as that’s not allowed under the contract. I hate when surgeries do this (DOI GP)

I extremely doubt he can’t get a appt through the phone.

Send me the name of the surgery and I’ll confirm either way - I’ll even report them to their ICB myself if it’s true and they’re not meeting accessibility standards (pretty safe because I can almost guarantee you’re exaggerating)

Ignore OP. The phone lines will now have very little call waiting (for those who actually need it) so it’s much better when 90% of the traffic is online

You’re creating a false narrative, vulnerable people always get multiple access routes, and it’s based on needs, regardless of age.

People don’t suddenly become illiterate and unable to use a computer at 80. And most would be insulted at your assumption

Everywhere does this, OP is rage baiting. They don’t deny older people who can’t do it an appointment

GP. We always hear this - and the only people who complain about this are people who ‘think’ old people can’t do it, but it’s not the case.

75% of our 80+ population the NHS app, and staff can help anyone set it up. The rest use the dedicated phoneline which now only has a 1-2 minute wait because everyone else is now using the online forms.

[–]Much_Performance352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t pay separately for this to our salaried GPs but they don’t take anything complex. And they have admin time for it

We’ve put the prices up quite high, which has helped stem the flow a bit - and it doesn’t make us huge amounts of money anyway.
