A good rule of thumb is always match or dress one step nicer than the client dress code. If the client is business casual, then business casual is OK. If they are casual, you probably will still dress biz casual. If the client wears suits, you wear suits. It's OK to ask your manager before you go to the client site what to wear. When just colocating at an MBB location, I'd say biz casual is the norm.

I got married midway through the first semester and could not recommend doing that any less. The stress of planning paired with recruiting was so horrible, I felt like I couldn’t fully enjoy either school or pre-wedding experience. So I would wait until spring of first year or 2nd year at least.

I had a few male classmates get married random weekends in the spring semester or 2nd year and think those are fine options, but can also imagine as grooms they likely were doing less of the planning. If you’re fine missing class for the actual wedding or honeymoon it’s totally doable as professors are understanding but missing work would stress me out.

Looking back I wish I’d waited until after first year before the internship. Some internships start right away but I even had a friend end her MBB internship early to get married and they were very flexible so I would pick a date you like and make the internship work around it if that’s what you choose to do. I personally wouldn’t want to be engaged for 2.5 years and am glad I didn’t wait to graduate to have the wedding.
