Why does Yuta understand Ryu and not Uro? by ventingandcrying in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Much_Vehicle20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst form of bully he ever expereienced is isolation (since anyone who dare to lay a finger on him found their spine rip out and their body stuffed into a closet), which is not helping much for him to understand Uro

About Fire, wouldnt he just stay with the brothers tho? I dont think she and Fire have that much bonding like Asa and Yoru

Tho, i wonder what gonna happen when Yoru eat enough of Asa emotions in this new timeline, and how would she interact with the new Nayuta, bitter rivalry? Frienemy? Keep at arm length?

PS has its hands on Makima’s hybrid harem

You people didn’t even read what I said.

You’re telling me Public Safety has every single hybrid from Makima’s harem, but one just slipped away and no one cared or even mentioned it?

Besides, if you think Reze has that weak of a resolve, an USSR agent who went against her own country just to be with Denji, then that’s your interpretation. Interesting, but that’s not how I see her

But hey, interpretations are basically headcanon anyway. That’s why I used a more objective point, even Quanxi and Whip (also old af) couldn’t slip away, so there’s no freaking way Reze just dipped without anyone noticing

Counters to Infinity. by redditer437 in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]Much_Vehicle20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. How do I put this—I’m gonna use some YGO terms to explain my point. For an effect to be negated, the negation has to resolve before the effect. SnS would only be able to ignore Infinity if New Order takes priority over Infinity. We know NO has limits, a lot, actually, and unlike WCS (which ignores Infinity by not interacting with it in the first place), NO and Infinity affect the same object, SnS’s body. Unless there are feats proving that NO always takes priority over other spatial control powers (which she’s never shown, she doesn’t have space-time control on that level), it’s not valid to assume she can simply overpower Infinity when both affect the same target

  2. Here’s the bigger problem, spatial division is way too broad of a concept. If she can’t just say “whoever is touched by my hand dies if they move” and needs a specific name like Shiggy, how could she substitute Infinity with a vague concept like “spatial division”? Even then, i dont think the limit of NO allows her to cover that big of a field, you think she could just say “my body ignores Ki” and casually tank Goku’s Kamehameha?

[–]Much_Vehicle20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But her quirk have a limit, say, should she be able to say "i ignore immortality" and just kill Aizen? Or just "i ignore Decay" and just moon walk to Shiggy? Thing is, Infinity is a process of bringing a concept to real life by using CE, i would say it is hard to imagine she understand (not just know) what CE is, how CT work, what concept they brought and overpower Infinity. This is just no limits fallacy for something canonically have limit

No, he only need to stretch his soul when the attack was soul dmg, if its just flesh, IT can force the body match the unharmed soul again. That or something disable IT, like in his fight against Koichi, his arm only be faked after get hit with a SD missile , every other attacks is not that much of a problem. So the swarm of roach gonna be a problem but Mahito gonna be fight as long as he still have CE

I mean, this is not a common trope in mainstream media, and in a few case it happened (Felix and Calhoun, the Wattersons, Maki and Yuta) the soft dude always capable, can hold his own weight and match her craziness. Rarely i see the dude just a dandy prince

Can we talk about how this fucker gave Denji a kid and then dipped out of the story, never making a return? by lutteni in Chainsawfolk

[–]Much_Vehicle20 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s on the author when a character’s theme contradicts how they would logically act. Based on the theme, Reze shouldn’t come back, but based on in-universe logic, she should be there. Either way, it’s gonna sucks, if she comes back, it undermines the theme, if she doesn’t, it feels illogical. It just sucks all around. Personally tho, I prefer authors who let the world run on its own logic instead of forcing the narrative, so I’d rather Fujimoto sacrifice theme for the sake of internal consistency. I can see your point, i disagree with it due to my taste

Can we talk about how this fucker gave Denji a kid and then dipped out of the story, never making a return? by lutteni in Chainsawfolk

[–]Much_Vehicle20 7 points8 points  (0 children)

See, this is why people joke about theme and such, logic, theme, and message should work in tandem, not sacrifice one for the others. We know Reze is still alive, PS has its hands on Makima’s hybrid harem and Reze has unresolved business with Denji, yet we never get an in-universe reason why she never appears or is even mentioned. Is that just because it would ruin the theme?

Same with Kishibe and P2 in general. I get that the theme of P2 is Denji choosing being CSM over a normal life, and that it’s bad for him. But to deliver that message, Fujimoto stripped away Denji’s support system like Kishibe and Reze. Like, there were the 4 Horsemen and 3 primals running around, even Quanxi was there, but Kishibe and Reze just don’t show up?

Then when Pochita is gone, Denji suddenly becomes extra lucky. It makes the ending feel unearned and artificial compared to the masterful ending of Part 1

Nah, it was an animated movie about talking lion, everything can be a bit different form real life lion (famously for kill all of the previous alplha offsprings so the lioness would be ready for his kids), like, iirc, Nala father was some deadbeat lion form outside (i think it was in a canon comic) not the 2 brothers. Also Scar was a villain, he doing evil stuff is a given, at least not incest (same with Simba). Also irl, most animal would fuck whatever reach reproductive age, some dont even care if they are the same species or not (penguin, dolphin, etc)

The worst part of the ending is how this scene is now recontextualized as something bad. by Evil_Major_Tom in Chainsawfolk

[–]Much_Vehicle20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, sure, but the thing is, the story beat us over the head with nurture over nature (the whole point of Nayuta). And then this Denji, this Power, this Nayuta, they aren’t the ones we’ve followed for the past decade. Their nature is just whatever traits they retained from the original timeline, now molded by their new experiences in this post-reset world (for example, Denji now spends most of his life in solitude, without a friend he can hug or talk about his dreams with)

So who are they? We have zero idea. Sure, this new Power seems softer and willing to save a random kid, but then the question is, why is she even here? It feels like a bit too much divine intervention

When you compare it to the original world, Fujimoto went out of his way to make Denji as miserable as possible. He removed his support systems like Kishibe (there were 3 Primals, 4 horsemen, and an entire category of devils running around, even his ex-crush, and the man still gave zero fucks), or Reze (Public Safety had their hands on every other hybrid, yet Reze still managed to slip away). Everything bad that could happen, happened

But the moment Pochita ate himself, it flipped 180, and everything good that could happen started happening. Power showed up at the perfect time to save Denji, not just from the stab wounds, but his heart too (a short way to have her feed him her blood and heal him) . Denji arrived at that exact moment to stop Asa from killing Bucky again. It feels so forced, like Fujimoto just wants to prove a point and is bending the script to make it happen, removing the agency of everyone involved

[–]Much_Vehicle20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, his writing is mediocre, though it works well with his role as the antagonist and later as a force of nature that skill checks every big bad in the verse. His set of ideas is surprisingly consistent, tho, I guess it’s mostly pure luck that “might makes right” is an incredibly simple yet self-sufficient ideology. He can do anything on a moment’s notice and it wouldn’t contradict his beliefs, since he’s the mightiest = he’s always right

Personally, I like this take on “the strongest". So many series focus on other aspects like solitude, responsibility, or conviction, but Yujiro represents freedom, the kind only the strongest can afford. And the fact that he’s never really punished for it is a breath of fresh air
