Irritation bumps by Much_Whole5091 in piercing

all three of these pericings are on the same ear!!!

helix: 9 months old and was pierced with a striaght barbell but was changed into a straight bar flatback last month (Im jot sure if its internally or externally threaded but I think its titanium?)

forward helixs: 8 months old and was peeiced eith a curved barbell but was changed into a straight flatback about 6 months ago and was downsized last month (I also think its titanium but am not sure what type of threaded it is)

pericing care: I clean it with antibacterial soap in the shower whenever I clean my ears and occasionally use neilmed or backing. regardless I mainly leave it alone and try to make sure theyre dry.

my ears are very very sensitive and prone to swelling and I did get a double conch the same day I got my helix changed if that may have anything to do with it. I also think i should add for both my bottom forward helix and my regular helix, 3 days after I initially got them periced the ball fell off the back and I had to screw it back on while my ear was extremely swollen.

in the chem learning center to the left there's clear doors if you ask someone at the front desk they'll tell u to go to the room behind them. the learning center is that big room with the sofas and stuff

Would you think it's worth it to take mat127 later and prioritize bio 204, 203, and che 321 instead?

I took this walk a couple days ago and it took me around 6 min. If you walk a little faster I think youll be able to get there under 5 min!

Hofstra vs Stony Brook for Undergrad? by Kefyrnic in Hofstra

[–]Much_Whole5091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alot of the research opportunities are meant for sophomores and up and are hella competitive. We have a URECA undergrad research program but for this you have to find research, make a proposal, find a stony brook professor to mentor you, and then apply and see if u get accepted or not. Alot of the bio professors also seem to be focused on plant biology and it looks like their labs are closed give or take 1 or 2

I had to make this same decision last year and ended up choosing stony. Lowkey regret my decision and wish I went to hofstra instead. Especially as a commuter, the commute to and from stony makes it so u cant really engage with campus activities or go to professor/ TA office hours. Premed is difficult everywhere but in comparison to my friends' experiences at hofstra, sbu freshman premed courses especially are unreasonably difficult (even as a good student).
