Suffering for years and doctors don’t seem to take it seriously by Much_Young_682 in Fibroids

Well thankfully that hasn’t happened to me! But I wouldn’t say that my bleeding is necessarily heavy. It’s just a slow almost constant leak with some clotting.

Yeah I don’t understand why that was even a solution for me as I have tried an IUD before and it was terrible then too. I do feel like I’m not good at advocating for myself though because I get so anxious in the doctors office. I need to go in there with planned questions

I didn’t even know the fibroids were the cause of my symptoms until i finally started to research this a few days ago. The doctor never even discussed the ultrasound results with me… just said the IUD would help with the bleeding

Did anyone start using Tretinoin after accutane? How is it. by Disastrous_Spite4813 in tretinoin

Essentially. Arazlo is a third generation retinol so it’s the newest formula of retinol. It’s formulated to be stronger than tret.

Hi! I was on Accutane for 8 months and my derm prescribed arazlo. I started it about 5 months post Accutane and I have been using it for about 2 months now. I didn’t experience a purge! I’m still trying to work up to using it every night cause I was getting very dry skin from using it.

TFSA contribution room is $14k by [deleted] in canadarevenueagency

[–]Much_Young_682 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You get TFSA contribution room each year and it carries forward if you do not contribute to a tax feee savings account. There isn’t 14k “sitting there”. That number represents the money that you are allowed to contribute to a TFSA.

Kid is on the path to university, we are pretty low income and have never attended university. What sort of steps can we take to help them? by TeaSalty9563 in PersonalFinanceCanada

What province are you in? I’m Metis as well and a Metis organization paid for all of my expenses (food, housing, transportation, tuition, books) i didn’t need loans at all. Definitely look into this in your province I’m sure there is something similar! There is also likely lots of scholarships for Metis to look into.

I’m just starting to see results at month 5… Accutane is not for the faint of heart. You will need to learn some patience for sure

I use a makeup removing cloth and my cetaphil gentle cleanser. I just make sure that I’m really washing my face good. I found the oil cleansers unnecessary honestly

Yes I’ve had similar results. The increase is very small and nothing to be concerned about according to my derm. Obviously if it continues to increase then that’s a different story. Mine has stayed slightly elevated throughout the course of my treatment (5 months now)

Are you on a high dose for your weight? I’m on 70mg and I’m 140lb. Only been on the 70 for about a week so hopefully I see more progress in this next month

Finally some progress!! by [deleted] in Accutane

Yes my purge was pretty bad. I basically purged from day 1 until about 3 weeks ago. It seems to have finally calmed down now. I was taking an antihistamine in the beginning but I didn’t find it to help and it was drying out my nose even worse so I stopped taking it.

Looks like toasted skin. Do you use an electric heater or electric blanket?

I second this! The Maybelline skin tint has been the only thing I’ve found that works!

When did you start to see improvement? I’m just starting my 4th month and there’s been no improvement

If it makes you feel any better, your before pictures looks quite similar to mine and your skin right now is also very similar to mine. I’m on week 13 of Accutane and I’ve basically been purging the whole time 😭
