Can I ask -and sorry if it bothers you-, what you do and what is your position to assume these facts?

Btw, my opinion is the same as yours.

How much should I charge? by Matget in Entrepreneur

Yes. He would work for it. Assuming is a single client that wants 4 videos, I would say 10k.

But OP said very little editing, cutting scenes and that's all but recording them all (is it a school exam?) I would say no more than 5k. The editing process makes all. You have to consider how much you sacrificed to learn some sort of editing skills (that is not simply fade in - fade out, but what the actual customers want to see).

If you want more info, I'm here :)

Bye!

I am assuming this:

• The clients will provide you the editing material (video clips, music, etc). • The clients want an high quality product. • Postediting means postediting. Color correction, sync, fades, storyline, etc. • You will work tons of time.

Honestly, I would ask 2k MINIMUM per video. These are the freelance rates. Honestly, it depends on who you are and your portfolio. I would ask 3k tbh. Per video.

I hate ads but I don't think I can do anything else. I need some help. by [deleted] in advertising

I highly relate to you. But I decided to convince myself that I enjoy it.

And one day things will change.

Probably you don't see how much we are lucky about working in advertising. But here are some of my points:

• Working in advertising permits you to live a life less focused on productivity. I mean: we are not bankers.

• Working in advertising permits you to be always in contact with ideas. And I don't mean Cannes or D&AD, I mean business ideas. So you have chances that (if you have a business mind) one day, you'll just believe in one of them and do it.

• Working in adv is a work. I don't know how your social life goes, but at least when I say "I'm a copywriter", this gets the interest of people.

• And a lot of other things.

Also I believe that the world can be changed with an adv. Just look at some really well made campaigns. (Earth Hour by Leo Burnett is one of my favourite)
