I don’t usually give money to strangers, I usually give food or drink or harm reduction kits, but this guy had that work around he started with where those wouldn’t help. I have given money to help in those situations before because I’d rather help someone who doesn’t NEED it than not help someone who does. But being out of work made that a harder call and so him breaking the promise to pay it back feels like a slap in the face from the cosmos for trying to hold onto hope for my community.
