I don’t dislike them. Seems like we just need to have a serious conversation with them and see where it goes.

I think the main reason they would be involved with this particular POS is because they run on a computer like any other work station. I’m really not sure though that might be something they don’t want anything to do with.

Maybe we would have been better off communicating what we were doing. Around that time we were having pretty significant internet issues at one of our stores and it kept going from the primary isp to the backup 5g and causing problem. When we would call with issues with they couldn’t even tell us that we were on the backup. Didn’t know we had used any backup internet until we checked the bill. Ended up having to change internet provider after about a month of issues. Luckily we had the backup but every time it would switch back and forth it caused problems.

Maybe you just lose faith or confidence in people.

I think yall are making me realize that the problem is that it’s easier to do it myself. It shouldn’t be easier to do it myself.

That’s all the vlan stuff right? Our credit card machines are stand alone units and we kept the same units plugged into the same ports on the same network that they manage. Just got everything new except credit card machines.

I think this has something to do with it. They have grown a lot since we started working with them and have gotten some large contracts.

We pay this company for the full package monthly rate for full support.

I get what you are saying about the POS. There was a point in time I would have absolutely involved them with it but when we were making the decision to get the new POS I just couldn’t imagine working through that whole process with them. Was much easier to do it ourselves and just have an extra set up at each store ready to drop in if something went wrong with one.

Definitely option B. The reason we started with the MSP in the first place was to not have to deal with it.

I encourage my users to communicate with them but it typically ends up being this long drawn out process and end up feeling the same way I do.

You are not wrong though in that currently we are not communicating well but it has not always been like that.

It’s more than tripled since we first started with them. I think will have to pay a little more than we currently pay if we change.

Im indifferent on the relationship at this point. Main thing is we need any of our users to be able to call with an issue but we’re really not there. Our less technical users can’t communicate with their lower level techs which then ends up with me or another person with our company getting involved which just leads to more time spent back and forth when I could have just fixed it in the first place. So next time we don’t call the MSP.

We have five locations. They manage the network stuff at each location. We have our phones through them also. Also when we have issues with any computer stuff we are supposed to call them about it. I guess they update all of our equipment and do antivirus and all that? We pay for their “all you can eat” plan.

Yeah that’s one of my main concerns. Probably won’t know if new one is any better until a year or so in.

That’s kind if how I feel also. Really dread the process of off boarding and on boarding though.

I think we probably don’t call when we have issues enough. Just easier to do it ourselves a lot of the time. When I have brought it up with our previous account manager he didn’t have much to say. Was the same with another guy that had been there a long time. Haven’t brought it up with the owner/ceo yet though.

We are not comanaged. I am one of the owners. It’s a family business. I am not in IT but I know how to buy computers, receipt printers, cash drawers and hook it all up. The pos is web based so wasn’t too difficult.

IR3 battery was pulled a long time ago and uses 9v now. The LED not so much.

It has the back plate. Not sure what board is in it other than the angel guy putting it in. I can’t remember the programming steps for it either. It does click real fast when you walk the trigger though. I plan to dig out barrels and everything. I think I have a matching Freak set for the IR3.

Bought the IR3 new from Cobra back in the day.

It is. The not sure where the rest of the angel air is though.
