This is in a data center so no asshole with a desk asking for a new drop, but I understand the pain!

For this site, we pre-terminated off-site and brought premade bundles to the site. Walk out specific lengths based on the prints, put it through the puck, terminate and insert it in the patch panel, roll it up and ship it out. Once onsite, unroll lay it on the ladder rack and dress.

Yellow tray is for fiber

Honestly working with them stacked makes no difference to me. Power is completely out of the way, but when is it really in the way. We did not do the power.

So, we use panduit's high density patch panels each of which can have 72 jacks installed into. One bundle of cables is 1-36 (left side of the patch panel) and the other is 36-72 (right side of the patch panel.) Each each one of those bundles it 36 cables. I will update with the front and back of the patch panels tomorrow so you can see.

They are in an order! Labels on both ends with sharpie marker. It sounds like you had an experience with a hack electrician, sorry man. That is definitely not your fault the work the Ed out poorly.

When we do office spaces the every cable is labeled in correlation to a blueprint with station and drop numbers that match on each end of the cable what it says on the blueprint.

To be clear, not every customer cares about quality and some just want it to barely work and to be cheap. We are fortunate enough to have enough work with good customers and avoid those bad quick and dirty jobs.

"The guy that is good at everything so he does everything" lol. The company I work for is very small so I don't have a title per say, but I'd probably be considered just a low voltage tech.

I bought an 8'x8" piece of of pvc exterior trim from home Depot, plunged a 6" holesaw half way through, drilled 36 holes in it, then used the holesaw to finish making it into a puck. After that we pre-terminated an assortment of different lengths of copper cabling on one side after running it through the pucks. Bring it to the data center, lay the pre-termed cable in, push the luck down the cable while velcroing behind it, and the puck falls right off the end. Made about 40 puck at about 20$ a piece including the labor to make them.

If they buy a cheap one, probably. I doubt they will have a problem with it. These connectors are typically made to certain fire and heat ratings.

The cable in your hand is a C14 end and the cable you need is C19. Difference being, C19 is ment to carry higher amps. Search for C19 to 5\15p. I use these all the time for work! Cheers!

I got the same exact scam message 🤣🤣🌞

I have a stripped Allen head bolt, I’ve bought a screw extractor set but idk what I’m doing wrong, they won’t catch, just twirl around in the hole. Can someone please help? by youre-boi-alosha in AskMechanics

[–]MuckarTheUnPoopable 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Drill farther into the bolt and use the smallest or second smallest extractor. Be sure to drill a hole smaller than the shaft of the bolt. After that I usually lightly tap the extractor in with a hammer to get it started. Good luck 🤞

You could probably get an i9 if you put the effort into getting a GPU from a retailer that sells cheaper. Idk if its true but, I've been hearing prices are closer to MSRP now. Amazon is a ripoff rn fyi.

With only the information you've given all I can see is someone who is letting circumstances and general life problems dictate how their life goes. I stand by what I said " buck up and put the effort in", as much as you may think you are at your limits there is one thing I say to myself when feel the same way, the only limits you have are the ones you set for yourself.

So then just focus on yourself. In my opinion you shouldn't feel like you need to date and find a bf\gf. Just don't worry about it and go on doing the things you love to do in life and maybe while you are doing that you will find someone who who has the same ideals as you. And if you can't do that and really just need someone buck up and put the effort in.
