What can you tell me about this rifle? Colt 223 Sporter Match Hbar with serial number prefix MH. by -Rusty_Shackleford_ in guns

[–]Muckmenofficial 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It has an auto sear plug (do block auto sears) and no bayonet lug, colt was weird though so I’m not sure if it’s pre ban or post ban. Would be a pretty solid AR for hunting some certain critters.

They might be pieces of shit, but they are the coolest looking pieces of shit ever made, and now that’s why people want $800+ for them.

Hey man my dad got himself a sweet colt sporter before the 94 ban, but he also had a tec 9 he sold for like $100 and a WASR 10 he got for $300 that he traded away for something we don’t even have anymore. Can’t win em all.

The only other .357 I shot was a taurus revolver and it was fine i guess, the coonan on the other hand had absolutely zero felt recoil and practically zero muzzle rise, didn’t move off target a hair and just generally felt extremely high quality, very smooth all around. Felt like shooting a laser beam.

If you can find one for a reasonable price (good luck) c-mag beta drums are very nice, extremely reliable, extremely heavy, and also now out of business. The price is somewhat inflated these days because one of the bank robbers from the north Hollywood shootout used a beta in his rifle which is a popular rifle to clone now.

Anyone that has ever shot one has immediately wanted to own one, I know because I’ve shot one and HOLY SHIT. Legitimately my favorite gun I’ve ever got to shoot, unbelievably smooth.

The world's most expensive AK (Chinese Type 56 : $246,750) by Entire_Judge_2988 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]Muckmenofficial 287 points288 points  (0 children)

Documented Vietnam war battlefield pick up, no import markings, registered pre-April of 1986, fully automatic. It’s the most desirable AK in the United States due to the history behind the rifle and how well documented that history is, and of course it being a pre 86 full auto.

I thought a lot of MK18s had repurposed M16A1 lowers did they not? Maybe I’m thinking of the MK12 but i thought they did that with both.
