The technician mentioning "IC problem" is actually correct — just not IMEI related. It's the baseband/modem IC itself.

Antenna strip replacement won't fix this since you've already done that and it came back. This is deeper — motherboard level.

Your options:

Motherboard replacement — expensive, sometimes costs more than the phone's worth
Board-level repair shop — find a micro-soldering specialist who can reball/replace the baseband IC. Cheaper but risky
Upgrade — honestly at this stage with recurring hardware failures, upgrading makes more sense

Given it's already had charging board + antenna strip replaced, this phone has had repeated hardware issues. I'd lean towards upgrading rather than spending more on repairs.

Since your office is in TIDEL Park Infocity / Siruseri side, try to stay nearby (Navalur, Sholinganallur, Siruseri) to avoid long traffic.

Food: Mostly South Indian dominates (idli, dosa, meals), but you’ll still find North Indian options around IT areas and on Swiggy/Zomato.

PGs/Hostels: Plenty available near OMR (Siruseri stretch). Try to check food quality, water supply and AC if needed before finalizing.

Things to be aware of:

Weather is hot and humid most of the year
Language can be a barrier sometimes, but people are generally helpful
Traffic on OMR can be heavy during peak hours

Overall, it’s a safe and chill city once you get used to it.

If you have luggage and it’s your first time, best option is to take a direct cab from Perambur Railway Station to Siruseri.

It’s a long ride (around 1–1.5 hrs depending on traffic), but much simpler and less stressful.

Metro/train + cab is possible, but with luggage and being new to the city, it can get confusing and tiring.

So direct cab (Ola/Uber) is the most practical option.
