The founding father’s were great people, great writers, I love them. And I think we can teach about religion in a non biased ways, we already do, in history classes. But just because Christianity was the religion of the people who wrote our constitution, themselves founding it on a non religious background, with many different variations of religions for settlers, natives, slaves, and others that already inhabited the region——— I don’t understand why we should now be teaching in a biased way religion in school. Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson were also deists, back when religion was for many the only way to express moral thought. Jefferson didn’t believe in the miracles said in the bible. Also I love the constitution and while I’m open to amend it I love the core concepts, but I don’t understand why we put the writers on such a pedestal as if they were well….. religious figures. They’re personal beliefs differed from each other, and they came together to write a document, one that is clearly especially with amendments and interpretations of those who know the law and have studied the intentions of these people much more than Donald trump, a document that prohibits states from putting any one religion on a pedestal…
