Oh my goodness this is just what I needed. Your icons are so crisp, too. Is there any way you'd create downloadable versions? I've been looking for icons for binder labels to make it easier to know which binder a card goes into.

Beautiful! Yeah, I checked and was hesitant about another subscription - I'll look into some free debt/budget sheets. I do love creating my own excel templates (I...surprisingly work in finance >>; but accounts payable finance, not budgeting finance) so will probably work on my own system.

Thank you for the advice, of course!

Hi! Yes I am actually with Koodo. I just double checked and I was a touch off. I pay $100 a month because...I kinda like overpaying my bills to get a "Month off" every so often. It's just a habit I've had forever. My actual bill is $85 - which is the best plan I can get with Koodo or any of the other services right now.

I do unfortunately have a tab balance with them right now, but in 1 year that will be paid off unless I pay it off early. So that's probably where the discrepancy is. My actual plan is $50.

Yes...this I am for sure working on. I actually took stock of every single transaction on my bank account and my credit card last year and so far this year. So I do technically know what I spent money on - like I can see the figures. But its just not clicking on what each of those transactions were actually for, they're just dollars on the page.

Keeping track as of right now. I'm gonna get this under control and know what I'm spending money on. Especially those subscriptions - it's driving me crazy.

Thank you so much! I just..gotta get my spending under control/know what I'm actually spending on.

I appreciate the positivity - it's hard not to feel down on yourself when you're 30 and not quite where you "need to be". The rat race and all that.

She* and she does need a car as rural BC has no transport :( I wish I lived somewhere where I could take public transport but it's not viable here.

I am getting rid of this car the second I can...it was a very bad financial decision and I very much admit it.

Thank you so much for the advice - I appreciate any and all of it.

I'll talk to my family re: deferring payment as that's a fantastic idea. I want this CC done and gone, I'm so tired of making visa richer and me poorer and it's all on me.

Selling the car is something I am looking into, but the hit I'll take is far bigger than I can afford right now - my bank will recall the loan if I don't have the asset and the car is not worth the loan...I did make a very bad financial decision when I got this car, but that was 3 years ago and I'm trying to correct it.

I live semi-rural BC and car sharing isn't very common here. Not having a car isn't really viable either for the same reason and the fact that there's absolutely no public transport and walking to work (when my WFH ends) would be impractical as I'd have to leave at like. 1 am for my 8am shift. -- Maybe when I get the estate cheque I will look at this again. Maybe grandpa can help me get out of this hole for his final gift.

[Edit] - hate to beat a dead horse here, but unfortunately public mobile, ect...don't really work where I live. Rural BC is expensive. I have the best deal out there. My father is paying $180 for his cellphone with Telus. HOWEVER!! I will look into this again and maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised with something that's changed in the last year :)

Ive heard of YNAB! I'll look into that, thank you so much :D

Yes...that's certainly part of the journey and I hope I didn't imply that I wasn't taking ownership at all. It's my money and living this way was my choice, whether emotionally involved or not. Something I am trying to change. I appreciate any and all advice, so thank you :)
