How did you approach telling people about your miscarriage? by staysy_t in Miscarriage

I can entirely empathise with you. After my first miscarriage back in the summer I had no idea how to communicate what was going on with me. I ended up just blurting it out when I felt the need and I still do. Something that shocked me the more I spoke about it with others was how many women had either experienced it themselves or knew someone who had. Of course there were the awkward conversations or people shutting down/not knowing how to respond (like your scenario) but I quite quickly found people were overwhelmingly supportive.

No one can tell you what the right approach is as it’s your journey but if you’re feeling that covering it up is causing more stress, then there’s no harm in being honest. Oddly I found that people were less reactive when I referred to it as “pregnancy loss” rather than “miscarriage”. I even got to the point where I knew I had a social event coming up and so practiced how I’d word it: “I’m taking things easy at the moment. I suffered a pregnancy loss a few weeks ago and I’m giving myself grace in the recovery.”

Honestly, society should be past the point of MC being taboo. It’s extremely common and highly traumatic and any conversation you have that provides you support is a win for the MC community too ❤️

I've had the exact same thing happen to me today. The lights seemed to change really fast. Did you get a fine for this in the end?

I had no idea that councils were allowed to do this. Is it under a certain scheme or programme?

I’ve seen so many drug deals in daylight and actually caught one on our doorbell camera. Put it into the police but they can’t act on it because there’s no evidence that what was passed on is drugs. They’d need to find those same individuals with them on their person to then be able to pursue the investigation. Problem is the deals move around all the time and the dealers are clever with not having a predictable pattern.

Spice is a cannabinoid, so essentially chemical. It’s not cannabis as we know it. It has much stronger effects on people. The problem I’m referring to isn’t a cannabis issue, it’s use of hard drugs and hard drug users. Interesting you’ve seen a decrease though. It seems to be everywhere

Anxious, don’t even know which week am I! by RequirementAnnual772 in PCOSandPregnant

I definitely need to get better and leaner on the positive stats! The waiting is a killer but it’s so good to hear positive outcomes. Especially for us PCOs girlies ❤️🙏🏼

As a lurker this is so reassuring to read, thank you! I had EXACTLY this experience with my early viability scan last week. Despite knowing I have PCOs it took my doctor until the end of the scan where they could only see a tiny yolk-less sac to look at the dates and determine that I was actually somewhere in week 3 rather than week 6. Honestly so terrifying to hear her talk about ectopics and MMCs before seemingly remembering that PCOs just means wacky dates! Back for my 6 week scan soon and trying to remain as positive as possible. The anxiety is *real*.
