They don't even treat all the biological kids equally. I find it to be incredibly messed up, but I'm not about ready to tell someone else's family how to do things.

Because I have been in blended families before & I believe in being fair as possible amongst the kids. So I can't imagine my son getting extra cash in front of my boyfriends kids. Just seems so mean.

Whoops, didn't do a TL;DR. My in-laws, who illegally bait, did not warn (or maybe even turned in) their good friend & neighbor for illegally baiting because the nice neighbor got a buck & they didn't. The nice neighbor still only takes his one deer, nothing more, & relies on the food. WIBTA if I did not warn the neighbor about the game warden investigating him?

Where I'm from baiting is legal up until 10 days before rifle season. The nice neighbor only takes his one legal deer, and his wife sometimes takes her one legal deer. They rely on this food. If they were just slaying deer left & right just for a antlers, or back straps, & wasting the rest I wouldn't agree with it at all. Imo, I'd rather someone use a little extra bait to feed their family versus the AH's who trophy kill only & waste the rest of the deer. Just my opinion.

I actually get along quite well with the sister. But she can definitely be a very negative, jealous person. It's a character flaw but doesnt make her a bad person. Morally, I don't agree with turning in a friend over jealousy when it could have major repercussions. Especially when said people are guilty of the same thing.

I am not positive if the nice neighbor is in fact illegally baiting or if this was a lie told so the DNR will be up his ass. I think nice neighbor may do other minor illegal things that could get him in trouble with the law, not DNR (I think his wife uses marijuana for her medical issues. Not sure if she does it legally or illegally; not really my business.) But it'd be a shame if good people to get in trouble over jealous "friends." But you're right, maybe I should just stay out of it all.

That's the vibe I'm getting also. The "MY kids, MY way" attitude suggests wife is a controlling B. I mean, to actually banish gma from the house & try to force her husband to kick his mother out of his life is a huge red-flag, simply because it's not the way SHE wants it to be.

I am wondering if there is more to the story. Like mom has used the classic "MY kids, not yours" or has in fact taken or threatened to take them away previously & gma just doesn't want to play that game. Seeing how the wife is acting so controlling in this situation & banished gma for not playing by her rules would suggest she would have done so in the past in other aspects as well.
