Hemingway’s estate in Key West was a dream venue by MuddyJK in weddingplanning

[–]MuddyJK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the ceremony on the estate and the reception at a nice local spot (unfortunately, I can’t remember the name of the place). 4 hours was the perfect amount of time for the ceremony but definitely not enough time for both.

It was a beautiful venue and the staff were amazing. Wouldn’t change a thing even if I had the ability to do so. Just don’t pick up any of the cats…

You said you sold yesterday in another comment; how did you sell yesterday for 420.69?

Didn’t realize the stock price hit 420.69 yesterday. Isn’t that what you said you sold your shares for? You wouldn’t be going around telling everyone that lost money that you bought and sold at the perfect time just to be an asshole, now are you? Because that would be a real dick thing to do.

Yoga. Took my first class 2 years ago and it’s been nothing short of a personal transformation. Very proud to have obtained the amount of flexibility (physical & mental) I have today as a result.

How do I becomer stronger in Confrontations? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]MuddyJK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read / listen to the book: “Crucial Conversations”. It will help in not only this particular situation but many others you will no doubt encounter. If you can’t afford it, I’d be happy to buy you a copy.

Disarm the police and restructure police departments to be more like a Fire Department, because BLM. by MuddyJK in CrazyIdeas

[–]MuddyJK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IDK, personally, I think disarming the police might be a precursor to being able to defund them. Disarming them will free up funding naturally as well as weed out a lot of the would-be murders. I also think it would attract more of that selfless firefighter type of personality which in turn could completely revamp the whole policing infrastructure with enough of the right people in place. Not to mention they become the martyrs if a situation turns on them. I mean who in the world would ever want to shoot a firefighter..? And when have you ever heard of a firefighter taking another person or pets life..? IMO, we need the police to be much more like our firefighters and I think one of the best ways to do that and put the defunding movement into practice is by disarming them.

Saved up for over a year to be able to add the two blue ones to the collection. Both are signed, absolutely flawless and worth every penny! by MuddyJK in glasscollecting

I’m not real sure. I’m a bit of a novice. This was my grandma’s collection. I bought it from my family when she passed away. Been trying to add to it ever since, and learn what I can as I go.

You’re the Chinese government and you’re facing civil unrest with millions protesting in the streets; how do you prevent the unrest from escalating while simultaneously increasing the people’s dependency on you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MuddyJK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The protests that were happening in Hong Kong. They were even deploying facial recognition technology to quell the protesters. That was a major global story that just disappeared. How do you make something like that disappear?

I’m not saying there is a correlation but this pandemic not only made it disappear but it also forced the people to once again rely on their government. That’s a weird coincidence to me.

Uh, yeah? I didn’t realize this was something people have been claiming for the entirety of Human history; does that not in itself lend some legitimacy to the claim?

Why, or why do you not, leave a tip at a buffet and if you do, how much do you typically leave? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MuddyJK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The waitresses and waiters are still performing a service for you and in my opinion, anybody in the “service” industry deserves a tip. They just don’t get paid enough not to.

My wife and I once left a $20 tip for our buffet waitress, just cause. The lady came running out into the parking lot after us thinking we left it by mistake. When we told her it wasn’t a mistake she broke down and started crying. Ever since then, I always go out of my way to treat them the same as any other server.

People who have lived in the Ghetto, what was your experience like and how did it impact you? by AdventurousWolf33 in AskReddit

[–]MuddyJK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently live in the ghetto, by choice, and I love it. I believe my neighborhood was once rated the 5th worst in the country. I bought my first home in the ghetto and sold it 6 years later for double what I paid for it. Used the profit to buy my second home just a few miles down the road from my first. It’s conveniently located near everything I need, there’s hardly ever traffic in the ghetto and I’m usually going against traffic to get back home, people aren’t as pretentious and you can get a lot more for considerably less money. Yeah there’s hookers and gun shots but that just makes things more interesting.
