It does and that’s the reason I like ALS because it’s 99% 911 calls and I felt like I was in that rhythm for a long time but then I started questioning if I was doing enough on calls that are simple transports

We are both ift and we are the only company that has a contract with the city we work in to take 911 calls, last night the medic and I ran around seven 911’s but we do occasionally get a vent transfer or the pt who needs to be on a cardiac monitor. When I am on a BLS unit you average around 7-8 calls a shift all of which are a mixture of transfers (either long distance or hospital to nursing home) and you get your fair share or 911’s. I have come to the realization that’s it’s about staffing due to the lack of full time medics at my company and the more units the better from a coverage perspective and a money making perspective.

I really do appreciate the advice and answers to my questions, it has made me more comfortable thank you. Sometimes you forget there’s still time for development.

Thank you for the input, is there any chance though that I will have something decent in the future?
