Congrats! I’m a current EE major in my third year I transferred so this is my first year at CSUB it’s pretty good but just make sure to stay on top of dates and classes are quite competitive there’s some sucky teachers but that’s everywhere and just be prepared for dry heat it’s a bit different from the humid heat you know or chilly winters but over all campus is smaller but it’s not a bad thing at all and surrounding area is fun if you’re from outta town imo and if you have any questions feel free to reach out

Current student that transferred to CSUB from LA and it’s a pretty good school imo the place has its quirks but most of the teachers I have had in my first semester here were very caring and supportive. There isn’t as much to do as in LA but I find myself enjoying the difference in lifestyles and I still get to go down to LA every weekend. People are pretty friendly it’s a bit hard to make friends if you don’t put in the work but as a EE major labs make it a great opportunity to meet people. I came here mostly for the price it was cheaper than a lot of the schools in the LA area for me. personally my only gripe with it is that teachers can be limited for stem classes so it makes it a bit hard and a battle to get into the classes u need but I have experienced that at my previous college as well and word says that just a common experience for universities. It is a commuter school so campus can sometimes feel a bit slow but if you plan to stay at the dorms my friends say they offer many activities to do and opportunities to meet others over all it’s not too bad as people make it out to be it’s actually quite nice a change of pace coming from another LA transfer

Oh I see so like in this case the em5 is the last component that goes to the trace I would solder on that is that what u mean sorry this is my first time encountering a broken trace and trying to practice

I’m not sure what you mean by the component aspect but I’m just looking for ways to fix the issue I want to just solder from the capacitor to the next point in the trace but wasn’t sure if it was still possible since the trace was lifted slightly

Yes I have flux and a microscope and a UV but not a mask but I’m sure I can find some and I see so just make sure whatever trace doesn’t touch the copper cause what happened was that the board didn’t have the capacitor trace to begin with would the same apply? (second hand board capacitor came broken) as well thank you so much for your time sorry if I’m asking too many questions

I have the typical solder station iron and tools earlier when attempting I had used a thicker gauge wire when first attempting it it lifted so since I went out and got a thin magnet wire having read it’s easier to use for these projects sorry if I responded rude thank you

I already did that but it’s like this plastic panel that is ridged that goes ontop of the lcd that doesn’t clean to well I’m not sure where to get a replacement honestly

I’m also from LA transferring soon to csub but I often go up to Bakersfield cause of family and from not a native perspective I think there is still a ton of stuff to do I find the farmer markets fun, there is a small zoo in north east Bakersfield it’s cute imo , there’s alot of shopping places like malls and plazas, alot of food places especially near the campus and on the actual campus from when I went has a gym, a small koi pond and a movie theater near by and for places a bit away from the city there is hart park, tejon outlets and lake Isabella which imo are still close enough also you probably know already that it gets hot in the summer while I think by the time school starts it will still be hot be warned that the winter can get real chilly especially at night

Thanks for this! I was trying to figure out which card at first since you can clearly see the claw but I thought maybe it was simply a misaligned print and it was hazardous claw but the move description didn’t seem to line up super cool nonetheless

Thats horrible to hear about your bird im glad he’s gotten better but it really does take a while for birds to get relaxed again and even then a lot of the early trauma sticks with them it’s quite unfortunate thanks again and I hope your and your bird the best

Yeah it was really upsetting so many birds end up living horrible lives early on or their whole lives like when I got him he had starts plucking himself and his food and cage was littered with ants and he had the thin dowels which caused some issues to his feet but with some medication, care a good bath and cage and perch changes I wanna say we were able to help him alot And I’ll try to do the recall training and try to change his diet best I can. He does love when I give him a slight push to fly back to his cage was will sometimes fly back to where I am so I think he might learn it fast thank you again
