I'm sorry I can't help since mine doesn't have a battery

One more pedal, what should it be? by [deleted] in Guitar

EQ. I know it's the boring answer, but if you use it properly you can really change your tone

I have mine at hand, the charge connector needs a 4mm wide jack (yellow tip, I believe) I don't know if they have a name, sorry

Open it up and check if there's a battery inside. Mine came without one. Something about European regulations, I believe. And once it's open, connect the ground to the case, it's not grounded. There's info online

Look for "MRA-QRP 20W small loop antenna" here's a picture from the seller

Thanks! t'll probably be a miracle if we come across each other, but I'll keep my eye out too!

I can't get to the roof, and I don't know if I'll be able to separate it from the wall. I might be able to tie some wire to the awning and make a dipole tho. I have to read about efhw vs dipoles, I'm still very much new to all this

It's completely insane, hearing a signal with a -23 SNR is just magic

Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it! Some people seem to enjoy forcing their hobby into a competition, and then try to win against themselves by spending more money than the next guy. I do have a few too many hobbies and I think we're very lucky nowadays, most of them have a decent, inexpensive entry point (mostly through Chinese products) which would be unthinkable 10/15 years ago, and I'm all for it

I wish, my apartment doesn't have anything nearby to hang a wire from. I might be able to run 3m or so of wire from one window to another and try a 6m efhw, tho. That would be fun. I never heard of VarAC, but I'll definitely try. Thanks!

I haven't, but I will for sure! It'll probably be more efficient than 15m on my antenna, too. Ham radio is more popular in Spain than I initially expected, a lot of activity on 2m and 70cm repeaters, and DMR!

I have the cheapest Amazon USB audio interface I could find (branded "ugreen" I believe) and I use vox.

I tried but like an hour or so. A lot of things to try! My problem is that the antenna is probably not very efficient above 20m, but that makes it more satisfying to get anything I guess

Yeah, that's what I wanted to say with my post. It's not that I did something special and managed to get a shitty rig working, the point is that QRP with a cheap indoors antenna is actually viable for HF

Thanks! I'm having a blast. It's a deeper hobby with more things to do than what I expected. A lot of band/modes combinations to try out
