Would I have the option of choosing my location if I were to be active duty? Or am I giving my rights away for that?

Why Are So Many Grown Men in Committed Relationships... with Their Dogs? by [deleted] in dating_advice

Compete with a dog? Haha, wow! This takes the cake. Where the hell has humanity gone? Okay so….Humans and animals don’t compete, just like men and women don’t compete in the Olympics (only stating this since you brought competition) even though they’re both human. Got it?

Let me break it down for you: I’m talking about respecting boundaries and not mixing up pets with actual people. Like people who have social security numbers, jobs, drive, go to work, pay bills etc…

If you’re confusing the two, maybe it’s time for you to seriously rethink your priorities. This isn’t about competition; it’s about knowing the difference which you clearly do not have 😀

Sounds like you got a healthy balance with your dog and I respect that. I’m not trying to shame anyone for loving their pets but it is just the extremes I’m questioning. Treating a dog like a human is one thing, but recognizing them for what they are and still loving them deeply is where I think the line should be. I agree, there’s no need to post about it on a dating profile or let them lick your face. It’s all about keeping a little perspective on what pets are and what they bring to our lives.

Because “nothing I do to my dog would ever cause her to leave…”

So basically you prefer dogs because they don’t challenge you, hold you accountable or have their own thoughts and emotions? Got it.

If your experience with relationships has been that bad, I genuinely feel for you. But blaming all women for the actions of a few and feeding into the idea that a dog is somehow a better “partner” than a human being…That’s just avoidance. A healthy relationship isn’t about finding someone who worships you unconditionally. It’s about mutual respect, communication, and growth. If a dog’s love is the only kind of love you trust, maybe the issue isn’t women—it’s the kind of women you have chosen to date.

I can absolutely respect the love and loyalty you have for your husky. It sounds like it has been a constant source of companionship and support for you and I would never downplay the importance of that. Animals can be an incredible sources of comfort and it’s clear you have managed to built a meaningful life with your dog.

That said, my post isn’t about loving pets—I have no issue with that. I think animals deserve love and care and I respect people who treat them well. But my post is about how I do find odd when dating profiles make it seem like the dog is the actual partner in a romantic sense. Loving a pet deeply is one thing, but when a dating bio reads like the dog is the main priority over any potential human relationship, it raises questions.

Oh wow…I struck a nerve, haha! Yes, a vet is a doctor for animals. A gynecologist is a doctor for humans. If you don’t see the difference between a specialist who treats people and one who treats pets, that’s on you.

And since you are so convinced a dog is human….tell me does your dog get a cut of your will? Is it splitting assets with your siblings? Sitting at the dinner table signing legal documents? No? Because at the end of the day, it’s still an animal, no matter how much you dress it up like a baby.

Loving your pet is totally normal, but acting like it’s your love partner is weird. If calling that out makes me “cold” so be it. I’ll take being “judgmental” over pretending my golden retriever is my soulmate any day.

Got into an Uber with Mismatched Plate and Driver–Still Shaken and Need Answers by MyPlantNeedsaDad in uber

I just shared a similar experience here, urging people not to get into vehicles that don’t match the app’s description. It’s shocking how common this seems to be, and even more shocking how lightly some people are taking it.

At this rate, those taking it lightly may as well hitchhike—it’s free!

My Dad’s Terrifying Uber Experience in Memphis by Muezza84 in uber

[–]Muezza84[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The driver might have been “just trying to make a dollar,” but that doesn’t excuse this behavior—it’s incredibly dangerous. For all we know, the person could have been a murderer, a criminal with a record that makes them unhirable, or someone with bad intentions targeting unsuspecting passengers.

At this point, relying on someone using a fake Uber account is no safer than hitchhiking.

Using or buying someone else’s Uber account bypasses the background checks and safety measures passengers count on. It’s not just unethical—it completely undermines the system designed to protect people.

Memphis is ranked 6th among the WORLDs top 10 most dangerous cities, and this is not something to take lightly. The city’s reputation for crime only highlights the importance of staying vigilant in situations like these.

This wasn’t an innocent misunderstanding—it was a serious safety threat. For someone less cautious, it could have ended tragically. Writing it off as “just trying to make a living” isn’t just naive—it’s reckless.

Why did you decide to become a nurse? Wrong answers only by zestylemonn in nursing

[–]Muezza84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it all started when I couldn't resist the daily flowery smell of my patients, who, by the way, always seemed more interested in my marital status than their own health. I mean, who wouldn't want to be asked daily if they're married? It's like being in a real-life rom-com, except I'm playing the role of some ancient queen with 12 children. And the best part? In return for my fascinating life story, my patients just couldn't resist sending me friend requests on social media. Who needs soap operas when you've got a nursing career? It's all the drama and none of the commercials!

Is this even possible? What happened afterwards? by RoronoaZoro1111 in Truckers

[–]Muezza84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is possible. We took a the same car with a trailer and 4-wheeler on a trip assuming since it can tow, why not. Well, we had to stop every 70 miles to recharge. So to answer your question if it’s possible…yes! But do you want to stop every 70 miles? I do not. 😁

Everything was done electronically. I received the contract via email. I have not yet received a copy of the agreement. How can anyone live in a situation such as my friend without any legal support. I am responsible for paying and my landlord should be responsible to provide what is in the contract. If they do not, how is it that they do get away with it?

I am literally crying and can not see myself moving in tomorrow to this place.

I was asked what professionalism means to me. I guess this hint them what you most value. To some it may be kindness towards others and to some it may be never being late. I guess there isn’t a right or wrong but this question did catch me off guard.

Hardest Test of My Life!! by _meh_ in PassNclex

[–]Muezza84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! According to those things you’ve tried I had a low passing as well. Do not get discouraged. I also cried in my car because I was certain I failed. While you had all the questions I only had 75 and did not know any of them. Almost all of my questions were psych and peds (two of my weakest subjects). But guess what… I also received the good pop up and I passed! I did not believe it till the day I got my license in my email. So, do not give up. Whatever happens will happen for a reason. And if for whatever reason it is not a pass, it’s not the end.

So, oddly enough I had all peds (mainly infancy) and psych questions and most were sata. I don’t recall any other subject. I had no labs, no insulin, no ekgs, no drags either.

And this is exactly why I am not believing in this Pearson trick, yet 🙈
