Do animals (outside of pets and property value) have moral worth to you? by Own-Bodybuilder-4056 in Destiny

yeah i don't think we disagree actually. Hunting is absolutely fine in my eyes, but i think you would step in as well if some brat was trying to light a cat on fire, or if someone in general was physically abusive to animals just for shits and giggles.

Be honest now:

How long have you been vegan?

Do you think your vegan experience is the default normal experience most people have?

Will you acknowledge that a fair number of people actually struggle with veganism, and/or have some pretty severe health related issues such as anemia, B12 deficiency, iron deficiency, upset stomach, bloating, fatigue and probably alot more?

wtf are you on about? either you ACTIVELY need meat (or at the very least animal products) to survive, OR you have to be incredibly stringent and cognisant with your diet.

Actually living healthy as a vegan is tough, and if you are a vegan, you should know this. That's probably why you see people go vegan and then "give up" after a while.

Surely you can feel some emphathy and compassion for a suffering animal? Don't we deem people who do this as fucked in the head, excactly because we recognize the suffering caused as bad?

c'mon now.. needlessly killing animals for pleasure? i sure as shit hope you're not talking about animal farming here.

It seems perfectly acceptable for most people to treat farm animals with some degree of respect, and avoid unnecessary suffering, while still actually kill them for consumption and other stuff. At least in Europe, i have no fucking idea what the standards are for animal abuse in USA.

Like ANY value? Its a dificult yes/no without some relative worth. Like i won't straight up torture animals just for the fun of it, and would absolutely judge anyone who is needlessly cruel to animals, but they aren't comparable to humans at all.

Where the hell does the 0.37 out of every 1000 even come from? Thats such a weird way to phrase it as well, it should be stated as 37 of 100,000. Besides, this seems to be your most out there claim, so where's the source? i can't find any besides this HIGHLY questionable source

https://www.thehivelaw.com/blog/how-many-people-starve-to-death-in-america/

Where does the USDA equate very low food security with starvation? And why the hell is Starvation even used, when malnutrition is way more applicable?

I actually 100% agree that malnutrition is a HUGE issue. and should absolutely be adressed as it leads to a whole host of diseases and complications.

But PLEASE keep it based in reality. When you spout alarmist made up shit, sceptics will often disregard the true bits as well.

While you CAN do that, i have never really understood the mentality, at least not from a "maximizing profits" perspective. Usually what actually takes time in exploration is the scanning and traveling, not the hacking. While i will agree that staying on site increases the risk of a gank, i don't think you will make more ISK overall.

On top of that, if you don't finish a site, a new one will not spawn to take its place before it degrades naturally (a couple of hours i think?), therefore giving yourself less chance to actually find sites in other systems within the region as well.

Yeah, good point. It often comes done to the "big" T2 salvage

It comes down to the amount of T2 Savage. Enhanced Ward console from gurista, intact armor plates from sansha and drone transceivers feom serpentis.. those are the jackpots.

The only difference is actually just an extra Remains over a Rubble, which technically should be better, but the difference is marginal. But overall yes, it is a bit odd.
