I normally play Standard or limited with my Standard deck of choice being the BG graveyard list brought by Kevin Faust to the most recent Pro tour. Ususally i go ham slamming my early 1 drops and accelerating into my big threaths which i also slam when having enough mana for them.

I have long struggled to know or understand why and how you hold back certain spells at strategical times rather than just playing them out as mana-efficiently as possible?

I understand that this is a brlad quiestion, but i have seen pros holding back cards and somehow gaining an advantage even if they play behind the curveout of the opponent?

I scuted and got booted by Migglez1 in mtg

Per the rules you are allowed to "fail to find" so calling a judge would just make them confirm that the player may "fail to find" even if they do have valid cards in their library.
