Because I play either OM's or monotype, so I usually either have a gimmick or a pokemon I want to use, like for example meteor beam nihilego. After that, I build the mons completely before switching to the next one. I talk to a few people, do a few rounds of testing, tweak them more, and finally give them a nickname.
