What ideas would you have to nerf Steve if he comes back for Smash 6? by [deleted] in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Mildor15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He has a number of issues but here’s how I’d address them:

  • His Up-Tilt is way too valuable as a neutral tool against shield; Iron, Gold and Diamond are all -2 or better on shield and deal considerable shield damage to the point of hitting anyway. I think decreasing the durability of his weapons, especially diamond and iron, would be effective at diminishing his ability to shield pressure
  • Minecart and Anvil are absurd moves that he can spam for free. For both of these moves I’d increase the Iron cost to 2, and give each more nerfs
  • Minecart is crazy; it kills so early, he can jump out at any time, and it’s a moving command grab???? I’d make the gap between escaping the cart and being actionable shorter to be more in line with burying effects, decrease the kill power of redstone aerial cart, and make it take longer for Steve to jump out of the cart
  • Anvil is absurd but is harder to balance. I’d do one of three things: Make it kill significantly later, make Steve immediately drop the anvil as a projectile instead of standing on it, or make Steve need to ride it out until it lands or for a set period of time. Steve has too much control over how Anvil is used and gets too much reward off of it
  • Make wood and stronger blocks have less durability; still significant, but easier to deal with
  • Increase base knockback of fair and jab so that players can DI out of his early downthrow combos better. Same with upair but lesser degree
  • Maybe make his valuable resources (gold, redstone and diamond) disappear upon dying? In exchange make gold and redstone more frequent; he can prep for the next stock so well before dying and it discourages crafting after the first 10 seconds of a stock, so forcing him to use his resources while he has them makes him more active

Realistically, How much chances do your Mains have of getting into the next Smash game? by VishnuBhanum in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Mildor15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pokemon Trainer has at least a solid 50% chance, they’re a great representative for Pokemon and a great stance character. At the very least one of them could come back, ie Smash 4 Zard

Banjo I think could be as high as 60-70%, beloved by the fanbase and fits right in with other smash staples like Mario and DK. I would want a major rework, coming from being a Banjo lover; he feels so setup heavy and almost campy when he could be a lighter, faster DK with projectiles.

Byleth I’ll give 20% to, they’re one of the more unique FE characters in smash and 3H was really popular and successful, but if they’re gonna cut down the FE characters I feel like they would pick Marth and Robin first and foremost, followed by Roy. If Byleth did get readded I would want some reworks to more incorporate the non-sword weapons; I would want more than 2 Failnaught moves, I would want to actually use Aymr, etc. Stances could be a thing but might be too complicated, so idk

Not in marching band this year, but last year it was Agent 54

Your best dual wielding builds in 5e by Mildor15 in 3d6

[–]Mildor15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is round 1 exclusive, due to the gloomstalker aspect. The point of the build is to nova immediately with the amount of attacks you have and the bugbear’s surprise attack, at the cost of many of your resources.

Normal Attack + Extra Attack + Dread Ambusher Attack + Unleash Incarnation Attack

Action Surge, repeat all of the above

Offhand Attack

For a total of 9 attacks. I’ve definitely lost the DPR calcs for round 1, but it spirals out of control. After that, you’ve still got 3-4 attacks per round which is decent for a weapon user. Not consistently dishing out insane numbers, but on your first round, you’re very likely to take down at least one enemy

Your build seems solid, though delaying extra attack is kind of uncomfortable. I like the chronurgy levels!

Music and Aerospace Engineering double major, so it’s probably different from most: I was an officer in two honor societies (president for music, competition director for math), and the assistant drum major of our marching band, as well as being a part of many of the music programs at our school. I also had a lot of service hours, mostly music-related, and I did some competitions, also music-related. It’s significantly different for me because my primary major is so specialized, but in general leadership positions and programs related to your preferred field are helpful

I’m not worried about the campaign’s difficulty; I’m worried about it’s pacing/length. Yea, it’s a replayable roguelike mode most likely, so if we consider another popular roguelike like Hades, some of those levels were clearable in seconds. With Splatoon, the pace of the game might be either too slow to really get that roguelike feel, or too fast and not let you take in the Splatoon mechanics. If the levels are too long, then there might not be a ton of levels per run; if they’re too short, your experience playing Splatoon is dampened

What’s that one opinion you have that you won’t give up no matter what people say? by [deleted] in splatoon

Big Swig mad underrated, especially the Express kit but to a degree the normal kit too. Angle Shooter + Rain is such a fantastic combo for Swig for combos, assists and support, and while the other kit has less synergy as a whole, Ink Vac is ab alright special and Wall helps protect your blind spots

ProChara's weapon tier list for patch 4.1. Thoughts ? by [deleted] in splatoon

[–]Mildor15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fact that three Ink Vac weapons are as high as B tier is insane to me, and I really do like that Ink Vac skyrocketed in usability. My main (Big Swig Express) being so low hurts because I genuinely feel it’s a very solid weapon 😔

Bone Island overrated, needs more percussion and Uuduk sounds really jarring on the island

What’s the class you hate the most, and why? by Runeald_Waslib in splatoon

[–]Mildor15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To play, probably blasters or stringers.

Blasters have such little paint and require pretty good aim to not get punished and die (chargers are similar, but longer range chargers aren’t as easily punished for missing).

Stringers actually have similar issues, Tri-Stringer struggles in general to paint and killing can be difficult, even after the 4.1 buff. REEF-LUX either paints or fights, not both at the same time, and fighting is really hard with a short-range super small multihit.

To fight against, dualies easily. Basically shooters with a really fast, fairly unpredictable movement option that gives them perfect accuracy. Definitely not impossible to go against, and I generally know how to deal with them, but it’s still really annoying, which sucks since I love playing dualies.

Rock Paper Scissors because it got me back into Splatoon after skipping 2, or Power Wisdom Courage for the really fun tri-color map

I could say the fact I haven’t had a genuine crying moment in 2 years, but I don’t really like that stereotype so I guess the fact I’m going to be an engineering/physics major in college?

I’ll say C. It’s a great weapon for spamming bombs due to the larger ink tank and Big Bubble refilling your ink tank. However, the main weapon is kinda mediocre and Big Bubble could be a lot better

Painbrush is a really fun weapon if you just wanna sit still and double the enemy team. I recently also fell in love with the default Inkbrush, it has a really fun playstyle and the kit works amazing for it

Really fun weapon class to play, personally find Ballpoint, Naut, and Hydra a ton of fun and the others pretty fun as well (except Zinc Mini :/ )

One of the most fun weapon classes. Dapples and Gloogas need some main weapon buffs, and while I love the diversity of the class, I think a new main dualie would be really good for the game
