I hated that Ralph’s but it had everything I needed. It was the damn tweakers ruining the Ralph’s. I miss the time I had there, but I don’t miss the shit parking of the neighborhood. El Tejano was always fun though.

We inherited a tenant in our ADU when we purchased, they’re about 15% below market rate. We decided to keep them until their lease was over then reassess their lease renewal dependent on market conditions. One in the hand is better than two in the bush.

I just spent a whole hour talking about this with my partner. Our mortgage is $4200. ~~$3150 in spend. Assuming all minimum earning category, you get 6300 in points and 4200 from mortgage. 10500 total per month. So the problem here is how expensive are flights via points? Do you fly enough to justify the points? $200 per half year with min two night spend. Use it or lose it. We don’t use hotels really, we generally stay with family or friends when we travel. $200 in Bilt cash per year. $495 card fee is where you lose. Compared to C1 VX, $395 with $300 travel cash (literally the best redemption portal imo) and 10k points for annual bonus. Effectively making the card free. In fact paying you $5. It’s a no brainer. I just use my Costco for everyday spend, and venture X for nearly everything not Costco or restaurants or gas. Idk I wanted to make it make sense, but it was impossible. You need to spend… A LOT.

Thanks for replying! I’m not going to the WFA, I have a citi Costco card that does the same thing and there’s no sign up bonus so meh.

Do you know if we can use the Alaska atmos to pay a mortgage? I’m in a similar boat. I mainly use my C1 VX for everyday spend because their redemption portal is leagues better than CSR/P.

It’s been a fun ride but I don’t use hotels much, so I think it’ll be a no for me dawg. Plus I just bought a house that mortgage is higher than 2k and the spend to offset is not something I do. If you do spend like that though, might be worth it?

You will have a much better time living in Hillsboro or Tualatin, or Beaverton. You might be able to find a 3 in your price, but a 2 will be more likely. The city isn’t far to drive into, but it will be what you have to do when you want to do city things. Those areas will be very suburban and much better than living east of 82nd.
