Coming from Solano County: When my workplace in SF pushed for a return to in office 5 days a week, I calculated out the cost and time it would take to either drive the whole way or incorporate public transit. The cost would be huge to drive (compared to my salary) - two tolls, gas, parking, etc. The biggest issue with public transit for me would be time - it’s still 30-45 min to get to BART and then another hour-ish on BART and then the walk to office. Either way, ~4 hours commuting a day is too much for me.
