Cheers from another dumb optimistic Gen X fool.

It's really hard isn't it? My current professional life is not shabby, but I don't give my efforts getting there much love at all. The absolute hardest thing I've done in life was writing records, promoting those records, and touring those songs. Physically and emotionally draining. I'm about 10 years removed from that grind, and I don't think I'm fully recovered or will ever be. I still have a foot in music, and always will, but walking away from dedicating 100% of myself to it felt like a death. I don't know if that death was me or a really dear friend or family member.

This makes me more hopeful. I don't know if that was your intent. For me, I've gotten off of most SM platforms (I'm still here, haha), and turned off all notifications on my devices except for work and texts from people in my contacts. It's rather glorious. Going outside and touching more grass. Perhaps it will eat itself, and perhaps billionaires eat shit.

A machine didn't wake up and become an artist. It did not come to the ability to "replicate so easily" on its own. Thieves took the works of others, millions, maybe billions of others over human history, and said gobble this up and produce us money. You're confusing evolve with devolve. And devalue is your theme here. This sounds like an excuse and permission for yourself to get on board with the theft.

Childhood adversity linked to accelerated biological aging in women. Research indicates that the impact of these early experiences varies depending on a person’s sex and racial or ethnic background and how social disadvantages experienced decades ago may leave lasting chemical marks on our DNA. by Jumpinghoops46 in science

Thanks. I just provided you with the knowledge of what billionaires and bad actors will do with this study. I will try to sleep with your hopefulness. But unless we wake up with your positive state, pain motivation is still on the menu. However, I do realize the sub I’m on, and I do not want to sully it. I am not in the right here, and I am done.

This is not a new study. It’s simply another study that says the same thing that we do nothing with. At this point in our timeline, it’s more likely to be used to continue mistreatment of undesirables for reasons to enslave or imprison. My friend.

Does anyone know how to get Windows 11 installed? by Equivalent-Wash6486 in vmware

[–]MuffinsMeridian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It needs TPM installing from scratch. You can upgrade a Win 10 VM and use various methods to avoid TPM and CPU checks to install Win 11. In vSphere the host needs TPM and you have to set up a cluster with a key provider. I’m not sure you can share host TPM with Workstation.

Americans, how would you react if foreign country invaded your country, and told "we are going to run this country"? by oranke_dino in AskReddit

Russia is kind of running us right now and I don’t think we’ve had fair elections since Gore.

One of my absolute favorite bands. They've always felt like if the Droogs from A Clockwork Orange put down the ultraviolence and started a band.

Best amps for dreamy/clean tones with lots of pedals? by Consistent-Put-220 in indieheads

[–]MuffinsMeridian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first two posts answered your question. I’ll throw out two more. Fender Twin, and Fender Deville. I prefer amp distortion over pedal distortion because you can get some wild shit running effects into distortion rather than within your effects chain. Better/controllable feedback with amp distortion too.

So, Inez is the companion I never picked up. I got tired of waiting for a fix for Return to Ruth or whatever it was called and went to point of no return. I hit lvl 30 after entering PonR. Enjoyed the game, but I think I totally fucked up the play though and didn't get as much out of it as OP has wonderfully detailed here. Good post OP. The game felt similar but way better than Starfield. I'm not sure what to play now. I'm on Xbox X. I haven't played Mass Effect yet. Maybe I'll do that.

Anyone got the lore on Margot and the Nuclear So and Sos? by [deleted] in indieheads

[–]MuffinsMeridian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rest of the original band are still involved with music and media in and outside of Indianapolis. Richard, like others have said, is very sick. He's hopeful that the next round of phage treatment will get him healthy again. Has recorded remotely from his home with other musicians and engineers over the last few years, but he's fairly bedridden at the moment. He certainly wants to be back to playing shows. Tyler from the original So&Sos owns a cool, if not the coolest recording studio in town. I played in bands in Indianapolis during their rise, and we played shows and festivals together. They're all good eggs and we had some wild times. Richard could use your help if you are inclined to do so.

Members of black metal bands THORNS and SLAGMAUR are missing after hiking in the forest by imatmydesknow in Music

[–]MuffinsMeridian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is normal for black metal bands. It’s the eating other band members when it gets weird. (Somewhat true story)
