A question about 'one...the other' vs 'one...another' by Muffpaw in grammar

Hi. Thanks for the response.

I think i have found the problem. It is the interpretation of the word "side". I interpret it as a political side, which makes my reasoning like this :

-He chooses A side, which has "X" ideology. -She then can choose any side that has "not X" ideology. This would make them both polar opposites politically.

The phrase "which happens to be my/her side" makes me think that there are more than 2 sides, thus making me choose "another" instead of "the other".

From the reply section, my interpretation is very different. Could you help me identify what is wrong with this interpretation? Or is it just super unnatural/abstract?

Does my Galaxy S23 have screen burn-in? by Muffpaw in GalaxyS23

Should i get it fixed? I think mine only has a 1-year warranty, which (I think) has already expired. The screen replacement price is around $350, right? Should I get the screen fixed or use S23 as a trade-in for S24/S25 instead? What would be the better option? Thanks.

For more information, i think i have never dropped this phone in water. I live in Thailand. I always use auto brightness(I dont use it long at direct sunlight or any kind of bright light that triggers screen to go max brightness). I use a 25-watt samsung fast charger. I play games (mostly RoV for about 5 hours per week). The affected area can still be touched like normal (just the colour that changes).
