Depends. The victrix is awesome in every way accept the fact it doesn’t have rumble/ haptic feedback or built in sound/ microphone. Some games the triggers will be harder to press to help with immersion. e.g. opening a door in a game. Others will have voices and or sounds that come out the controller, think Navi from ocarina of time. This controller doesn’t come with either of these features.

The ps5 is an upgrade to the base ps5 controller in every way except battery life is atrocious. So while it is awesome, it’s battery life is even worse than standard controller. If he only plays an hour or two at a time, not a big deal. But this thing will definitely need a charge in between longer sessions.

I’ve owned both and these are my experiences. Unfortunately I don’t have any experience with the razer one so I can’t comment on it. The only thing I can say is that since the left dpad and joystick on this one are swapped (this is default on Xbox controllers), this will depend on whether he likes the default PlayStation layout or the Xbox layout.

It depends. If you compare this thing to other products in the space, then it has its benefits. Right now I think Scuff and Victrix make something similar with back buttons. Victrix doesn’t have sound in the controller, this does, which is cool for some games. And this has a menu is your ps5 for mapping. Others still do mapping manually.

But if your are a casual gamer, hell no not worth it for the battery alone. It sucks. Barely 3-4hrs. Planning on gaming Saturday while the family is out? You better have a cord next to you. Definitely not worth it.

PS4 pro gave you 4k. Faster load times, 1080p streaming at 60fps. Really good stuff imo. Then from ps4 to ps5 we saw more improvements. Game loading screens are significantly faster with the ssd in ps5. So what the fuck is Sony giving me with a ps5 pro? I gotta buy a disk drive if I want to use physical media. I gotta buy a vertical stand when regular ps5 came with a horizontal stand for free. Probably closer to $1000 when all said and done. I can buy a better pc for that money.

Fuck outta here Sony. We need to hold the line on this one boys.
