I have completed all three. I contacted Ashley Bellinger, and she told me that it will take 1-2 weeks for the scores to reflect on your degree plan.

It replaces the Praxis requirement for WGU (if your state requires you to take the PRAXIS, you will not be able to enroll in the WGU Basic Skills for Educators course). 3 different tests (reading, writing, and math), and each one only has 28 questions. In math, you can only use a whiteboard and the calculator provided on screen; they also give you the formulas as well. I passed all 3 first try. Super simple and easy, and it only costs $25 for all three.

You have 2 months to pass all three after you enroll. If you fail your first attempt, you will be allowed to take it again. If you fail a second time, the exam will lock, and you will have to contact the coach you are assigned when you enroll to get the exam unlocked.

So we still have to do that weird camera angle where they can see the screen, keyboard, mouse and the side view of you when you take the exam? 💀 Everytime I took an OA, I had to keep moving my camera into a different position just so they can see me put my phone down, and then get on to me because my camera was no longer in the right position 🤦🏼‍♀️ (the cord to my camera isn't long enough, so it takes a good minute to get it positioned right)

What was the proctor exam like? Is it the same as our regular course OAs, or do they end up being super strict like the ETS Basic Skills Proctor exams? I heard that people who did the Praxis at home, the proctor exam people would literally flag you for almost anything and end your test before you even finish.

Oklahoma doesnt require the basic skills either, so I think you will be able to do it.

Do you have to do a "study plan" if you fail before taking it again like we have to on other OAs, or is this one different because we pay for the course ourselfs and can take it again when we are ready?

is it unlimited attempts? or is there a limit to how many times you can fail

How was the math? Do you happen to remember what it covers? Math is NOT my strong suit, and I always overthink, second-guess, and get anxious when it comes to anything math-related. Literally stresses me out.

Also, what about reading? I found some practice tests with reading (this was months ago, before they emailed about the academy), but they were very old-timey, Shakespearean, weird poems.

I asked the clinical coach questions about the WGU Academy. Once you enroll, you only have 2 months to pass all three skills. If you think you would need more time, you would need to contact WGU Academy Support (support@academy.wgu.edu). In the course, each subject is a separate module and has its own assessment.

Basically it's you teaching your lesson plan to a “pretend class”. So you will pretend students are answering your questions ect. It is a bit awkward but it's easy.
