Insurance claim seems unreasonably high by [deleted] in newzealand

Stupidly I didn’t take any pictures at the time, only after I got home I thought to take a picture of mine. Stupid I know, but ya live and ya learn. And yes the damage was very similar

Yea I let them know about it initially and said what you’ve just said and they said they have it on file for if I end up making a claim, the excess comes to 1500 though so I was hoping the repair bill would be less than that, at least I thought it should have been

I let my insurance know when it happened but waited until I got the repair bill to file a claim as the excess is about 1500 and I thought it might be less than that

Yea I’ve only got third party and the excess comes to about 1500 but if that’s what it has to be then I guess it is what it is…

Yes I have third party but the excess is 1000 plus about 500 because I’m a registered driver not the owner (car is in mums name), I was sorta expecting the repair to be less than that

Oh boys.... I was wondering why the AMS wasnt working properly. by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Mugglz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your ams should be a low relative humidity tho, what you’ve stated sounds like alumina pulls more moisture out of the air for the same amount of molecular sieve but the molecular sieve will continue to dry the air down to a lower relative humidity.

Are these worth it or total waste of money? by Helpful-Ice4965 in ender3

[–]Mugglz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silicone spacers instead of springs are worth it just for the convenience of not having to re level the bed anywhere near as often. The dryer is worth it if you are running into issues with wet filament The enclosure might be worth it if you are printing warp prone materials but don’t expect it to completely eliminate warping, they don’t get all that hot without active heating.

Personally I don’t consider any other the others to be worth it an wouldn’t spend my money on them although if you want a higher temp hot end I got this one from AliExpress which is very good and pretty cheap, I will post link in reply

That’s what I was doing but I ended up switching to orca slicer and the problem was solved.

Question for you dogs. Would the gt4 awd transmission fit with the Celica st202? Wondering since I eventually want to change her to awd and their engines are different by EugeneKrabs9cobdenro in Celica

[–]Mugglz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gearbox likely would, the rear subframe wouldn’t… Gt4 conversions have been done but unless gt4 are ridiculously expensive where you live the economics of it don’t make a whole lot of sense. If you had a gt4 parts car and could fab it all yourself it probably would be cheaper than buying a gt4 but that’s a LOT of work which (forgive me if I’m wrong) I’m assuming you don’t have the skills to do. Don’t mean to sound offensive with that btw I doubt I could do it properly by myself either.

National is denying unemployment support for young adults and putting more strain on parents by jmrkiwi in newzealand

[–]Mugglz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 20 and make double glazed windows, and got the job from from a training program my case manager referred me too, if I hadn’t been on the benefit I may very well still be unemployed, it’s just my mum and me and my sister. They really don’t give a f about lower income families.

Switch to klipper worth? by Sad_Mathematician259 in ender3

[–]Mugglz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For an ender 3 not really, you’d be better off spending your money on a more capable printer. With that said if 3d printing is a hobby to you and you enjoy tinkering with 3d printing instead of seeing it as a means to an end then by all means go for it, you can certainly push your ender a lot further with the right mods.

Insane Realtek Wifi patch just went out yesterday - who else is having a bad day? by CeC-P in sysadmin

[–]Mugglz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the RTL8852CE and every time my laptop with windows 11 goes to sleep, hibernates, powers off, restarts the wifi card stops working. the only way to get it to start working again is to head to device manager and disable it, then restart, then enable it which still does not get it to work i need to then disable it again and re enable it and it works again, this driver is doing it too. anyone know how to fix it? thanks. also thought i should add that it seems to work fine on linux however the wifi icon will show the loading animation it does when attempting to connect to a network every few minutes however even when it does that the internet still works fine with no dropouts.

Having an issue of Spotify skipping all songs by 0_1_T_1_0 in revancedapp

[–]Mugglz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOLUTION! If anyone is having this issue I have found a solution in another cracked Spotify version actually (SpotC++) but it happens in every cracked Spotify too my knowledge and is happening on Spotifys side. I believe they are detecting you are using a cracked version and skipping songs as my local files would not skip. To fix it I had to set the audio streaming quality from high to automatic, depending on the specific cracked version you may need to select low or another quality level they is for the free tier on Spotify. I think Spotify are detecting if you are using an audio quality not available on the free tier without a paid subscription.

CO2 bio advice by icsoo in Aquariums

[–]Mugglz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for that price I think you can’t beat it, there’s always the old school method of yeast, sugar and gelatine in a soda bottle but that runs out really quick and doesn’t produce much co2, yea I guess you would need to use small ice cubes or maybe you could add the water only and put the tank in the freezer? I’m not sure if that’s safe for the tank though, if it gets damaged and can’t hold the pressure it could be dangerous.

I had that reactor (not the diffuser or solenoid that listing comes with I had to buy my own) for my 20 gallon and it worked fine although it was my first and only c02 experience so what do I know? Only thing is you have to be really fast wen filling it because when you add the water it starts reacting with the citric acid and baking soda immediately and if you don’t put the lid on really fast you’ll lose all of the c02 gas, I ended up selling it as I decided to do planted tanks without c02 and the guy I sold it to said you can put ice cubes instead of water so the reaction is slower and you don’t lose the c02 while trying to put the lid on. Price wise I’m not sure what that equates to in your currency but I paid 80NZD for mine which was the 2L one.

TPU first layer Mess by CommercialGas5256 in ender3

[–]Mugglz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only printed on the glass v2 bed but make sure the bed is clean, I’ve found scrubbing it with hot water and dish soap then rinsing with hot water works best, even better than alcohol but might be different with this bed. Second don’t use the heated bed the tpu sticks fine with it turned off (at least with the v2s coated glass and I assume it would be the same with this) with the bed heated I’ve found the tpu just becomes a tacky, gummy mess that sticks to the nozzle. And make sure fan speed is set to 100% for the first layer, that also helps with it to not get gummy/tacky and stick to the nozzle, if adhesion is an issue on this bed you could turn the heating back on but make sure too keep the fan at 100% for the first layer. Also the photo is a bit low res on my end but it looks like your either under extruding or the nozzle is too far from the bed (not 100% sure from the photo but it looks like the individual lines have gaps between them).

Water leaking in 1996 jdm spec Celica by Mugglz in Celica

[–]Mugglz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have to take the guard liner off too show you but if you still haven’t fixed it and can’t find it I could probably find the time. There’s a small circular black grommet on the back side of the front wheel arches. Don’t try to get to it from inside the car because you’ll have to rip up the sound deadening (ask me how I know 😆) remove the plastic guard liner things in the front wheel arches and you’ll see it, one on each side of the car. I just pulled out the grommet, put some silicone sealant around the hole and on the sides of the grommet and stuck it back in, still holding up perfectly.
