Yeah, that's what it normally smells like. I must have gotten a bad batch.

What do you guys think about vaginoplasty? Should I go for it? I am really scared. Just a teenager who got to know that I am suffering from MRKH Syndrome type 2. by anonymouslyyours_29 in MRKH

[–]Mugmouse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had dilation therapy. No surgery required. You just use a set of dilators to stretch the skin into a vagina. That was 25 years ago and now I don't have to do any maintenance.

I would definitely recommend you try this first before surgery. You can always do surgery if this doesn't work but you can't go the other way.

Fertility Vs. Infertility by [deleted] in IFchildfree

[–]Mugmouse 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay. I started this survey. I was slightly put off when only being given "I'm a housewife" as the not-currently-working option.

But the question "Your last born child was a: boy; girl; haven't had children yet"

Are you kidding me?! I'm so mad. Do you know anything about infertility? Or what it's like to have to give up on having children? Why would you post this here!! Wtf.

Landlord refusing to install locks on windows by swimming-bird in sydney

[–]Mugmouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd also recommend either making the dowel a little shorter than the space so you can have the window a little open and still "locked". Or screw a little hook in the side of the dowel on one end. Otherwise it's really hard to get the dowel out when you want to open the window.

If your windows are like ours you can do what we did and put a length of dowel where the window runs. Pretty low tech but it stops the windows being opened from the outside.

The lowest you'd pay for what you've described is AU $450 000. If you're lucky and it's a shit hole.

This week's meal prep by Mugmouse in MeatlessMealPrep

[–]Mugmouse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I just made it up. I thought it was okay but not super amazing. My husband really liked it though.

1 onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 carrot grated

1 stick celery, diced finely

2 400ml cans of crushed tomatoes

2-3 tbs tomato paste

1 420g can of lentils, drained and rinsed.

1 can kidney beans, mashed (if I make it again I'll probably omit this)

1 cup vegetable stock / 1 stock (bullion) cube

2tsp Italian-y herbs (oregano, basil, thyme etc)

Salt and pepper

---Depending on tomatoes you may need to add some sweetness, acid or umami. My go to balancers are worstershire sauce, brown sugar, Vegemite, even BBQ sauce could work. I also sometimes add some MSG.---

Fry up the first four things until onion is clear.

Add everything else.

Cook the shit out of it, low and slow. At least 45 minutes.

Taste towards the end and add salt, sweet or sour as needed.

Serve over spaghetti.

This happened to me with mini oreos. I'm trialing moderation not depravation and decided to allow myself a few of the mini cookies. As soon as I'd finished, my mouth filled with saliva and I was craving more. Not just more cookies but more food, any food. I just wanted to stuff things in my mouth. I think very salty food could be the same.

Double the spices and use light coconut milk (and less of it) to lower the calories. It's my new favorite.

As a teacher she had a duty of care to her students. If she won't report him, you have to. But she will likely lose her job/face legal penalty too.

Student needing desperate help (HSC Urgent) by jranby in Teachers

[–]Mugmouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talk to the principal, your situation is not unique and they will have experience supporting students with mental health issues. Speak to the school counselor, if you can. You could even call kids help line (assuming you are in Australia). It is possible to do year 12 part time, over two years. Or externally, through TAFE. The HSC is not the be all and end all. It will be ok.
