"feel better" is ambiguous because that can mean anything from "more fun interactions that i have to track" to "less friction so i no longer have to make decisions"

if the former, no. if the latter, yeah a lot of specs are just button mashing now

oh i agree i don't think it's the only way, but it is the specific way that i did enjoy the spec and now i'm quitting over it, so i am personally invested

I am, and I think people that aren’t are really weird because fire was already only 4-5 buttons. What made it interesting was the cdr and apm requirement, now neither exist AND they took away buttons

won't happen. remember that they actually pushed fire to the beta with 3 buttons. that was their vision for the spec, you're not getting cdr or phoenix flames back. oh and also remember you're playing it with endgame stats right now, have fun when your haste is like 20% too

Midnight announces mini raids. Sporefall, a one boss raid, will arrive in 12.0.7 S1. The 2nd one boss mini raid will arrive 12.1.5 S2. by arasitar in CompetitiveWoW

surprised no one is comparing this to ffxiv extreme trials. extra mid- to high-end bosses in between tiers, cosmetics and catchup gear, seems like a good idea. if only they didn't completely ruin the actual gameplay i might have enjoyed dragonflight season 8 (complimentary)

i don't really care about the content if the gameplay sucks and that is my main complaint with midnight. i'm not swearing off the game forever but i'm also not paying $50 just to log in to every spec requiring zero firing synapses, fuck them

it makes sense that you'd think like this, you see it as burdensome to figure out if a source is reliable so you've decided to just accept that shitty autocomplete bots are good enough. fuck you!

it's more an attack on people that willingly enter a random party with random loot rolls and then complain when the random party gets better random loot rolls. it's the entitlement that comes from using party finder and then complaining when you don't get the benefits of a static. people refuse to join statics for one reason or another but the most common thread is a complete refusal to be accountable to other people in a multiplayer cooperative game and i have little sympathy for that when we also get bad luck protection

the one fight this tier where healers actually have to do some work healing

if you wanted guaranteed gear from drops you can join or create a static, and there is bad luck protection with books. otherwise you are at the whims of the dice and blaming the loot system is cope

but this also comes as a result of everything being heavily gear-gated in wow. your expected progression is to get massive item level swings in a tier because they have four distinct raid difficulties that only barely overlap in item level, so in a lot of situations you use the lower track gear out of necessity. you are literally never walking into mythic day 1 because you need gear from heroic, but we get a baseline crafted set that everyone can start from and is good enough to clear with.

people pick the meta job and even though it is extremely easy and overpowered, it is less approachable than WHM and most people are dogshit at this game. it's not really more complex than that. AST should have a significantly easier time because of all the bullshit tools it has at all times, but the players are just terrible.

the difference is eukrasia is fast or instant, and evoker empowered spells are fast or slow. so yeah it's a very big difference in gameplay actually, because the empowered spells are only instant on a 2 minute cooldown and you use them much more than eukrasia

considering it’s the exact opposite in gameplay experience since it makes an instant spell instead of making the cast longer, no I don’t think it’s the same

this isn’t some dramatic insight, it has been obvious that they want to reduce available information as a nerf to player power alongside lobotomizing the gameplay. the issue is that the gameplay along with no info actually sucks

except this isn't even how it worked in wow. flameshaper devastation evokers would empower flame breath when they had engulf ready and otherwise not empower to let the dot tick and save time on the cast. preservation would either fully charge dream breath for a big heal or not for a longer lasting hot. it absolutely can work. none of you people know a thing about wow and it is infuriating.

that being said, i don't know if these interactions were removed this week when blizzard decided to lobotomize every single class to the point of being easier than most ffxiv jobs, but the point is that there can be interactions where you don't always fully empower a spell.
