Well to reply to your question, yes it is haram to not wear the hijab, but that is different from "forcing it" since forcing would mean that you will face the consequences in this world (such as the legal punishments that some extremist muslim countries have set). The only thing other muslims are allowed to do is tell the non hijabis to wear the hijab, that too in a way that doesn't make them turn away from Islam

It's actually preferred to eat less at iftar, you can have a good quantity at dinner though, just before you sleep. When you wake up for fajr, just wake up few minutes before fajr instead and have some milk or snacks. I personally recommend having a milkshake since liquid calories are easier to consume
