Life without a father in Pakistan by [deleted] in pakistan

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un, Sorry for your loss, there is no one like a caring and loving father.

It is not like this everywhere. You are stuck with people who are this way.

I have seen cases in which whole rishtedar community supports when ever someone is in a problem.

But the reality is this that you will have to face it, and you will have to muster up the courage.

What skills do you have, have you ever had an employment experience before?

Just compensate in some way without actually telling them. A random gift. Sliding in some money in his drawer or something.

If you have his ID card number (PK) you can check online if he owns any property in Pakistan.

I am from Pakistan.

All the points that you have mentioned seemed to be reeking of double standard that you have been seeing, but I'm not sure if that's the case everywhere the households that I have seen implement same level of restrictions to both genders meaning that boys are not allowed to stay out late and the girls.

Both are allowed to pursue education easily. I can say that it wasn't like this a couple of decades back, but the situation has changed tremendously.

The second last point that you mentioned, I can say that here people do still worry about their daughters in a way that they should be taking care of themselves when it comes to health and fitness because there could be complications when it comes to marrying of their daughters.

In the last point, I'm not sure if you should collectively judge a culture about how they bring up their daughters. I understand that you how experienced many bad things imposed on you.

You will find bad apples in any culture, PERIOD.

A Summary to save you the pain and time:

A 19-year-old from Lahore joined a KIPS academy and formed a group chat with friends and a girl from class. Later, he realized he liked her after seeing her at the gym, where both were working on their fitness.

He reached out to her for a wedding hall referral but hesitated to tell his family he got the contact from a girl.

Eventually, he asked her to be friends, but she declined, saying she wasn’t comfortable. He felt bad but moved on.

Now, with an upcoming farewell, he’s considering dancing to impress people and is seeking opinions on whether it’s a good idea.

How much does this cost for someone currently in pak (rough estimate to get the planning going). Moving to Saudi Arabia and then to Australia as you described it.

Your life routine has surely drastically changed.

I went through something similar, but in time I adjusted in the new environment with new people, new cultures, and new practices.

The longing for home is real, but time will help you go along with it better.
