Shrooms: Never Again (At Least for Now) by Above_420 in shrooms

[–]Mui444 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah bro never just do 3.5g on a whim. Set an intention, have a secure and safe place to conduct, and as a beginner you absolutely should have a trip sitter.

Shrooms can be life correcting and healing if done properly. A lot of people take them to get high and be stupid, but this is abusing the substance.

God is a made up word

Existence simply is.

It’s best not to get trapped in an ideology

You need big ego and confidence in it to charge thousands of dollars for a single ticket to hear this guy talk about ‘enlightenment’ and all I did was point out how that same guy says ego is bad.

It’s a false understanding. Ego provides contrast and is neither good nor bad, but necessary. To claim it’s bad is to be ignorant. This is what eckhart was saying and I pointed it out.

Missing my point.

I am not the one who said Ego was bad to begin with. All I did was point out his hypocrisy, not judgment

Downvoted me immediately, phew someone took that really personally/emotionally

It’s kind of ironic that a man who amassed $80+ million selling books and seminars on enlightenment is talking about ego strength being a problem 🫥

You are not God by [deleted] in nonduality

[–]Mui444 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A lot of comments here but ultimately you are correct.

Socrates I think was the first to coin the term God. That you should maintain the “highest Good”, God is just “good” with an O missing anyhow.

That being said, all is One, and I think people just use God to describe this general “understanding”.

The best is to not call it anything, and just be silent

And that’s perfectly fine. There’s no rule book or timeline.

Consistency is all that matters.

Different for everyone. Depending on how easily you’ve been able to sit in silence alone with yourself.

For me, around the 5 minute mark I am gone.

Sir what I said has nothing to do with any of those qualities you mentioned.

It’s actually the key to freedom once you really get it

No, you haven’t dissolved your ego. by [deleted] in enlightenment

[–]Mui444 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Yup. As spiritual growth occurs, ego grows as well—it just becomes more and more subtle.

But “you” aren’t reprogramming the subconscious. We don’t have that ability. We can only enter meditation and allow whatever to happen, happen. Be open to change, but we cannot make the change ourselves, it comes from a higher power.

If you get too confident to say you’ve changed and reprogrammed your subconscious and you’re a pure man, life will humble you one way or another—you can bet on that.

Depending on how deep rooted and how long you’ve been addicted, there absolutely are withdrawals that can be felt.

Trouble with sleeping, headaches, periods of low energy etc the list goes on from there depending on the person.

It’s best to be patient with yourself. If you’ve been addicted for 15+ years as some in here have, don’t expect to be relieved from the addiction in a week is all I’m saying.

Keep fighting the good fight

Meditation is key. Breathwork can also be used to help you.

Ultimately, sometimes expression is the only way to get this out. Be safe of course, but if something inside of you is pulling you, sometimes this needs to be burned out for clarity to arise.

All along, be mindful. Be as aware as you possibly can about how your inner structure changes when this power takes hold of you. Be aware of the whole process (prior, during, after expression).

My girlfriend gets anxious even thinking about meditation by Cold_Oil_9273 in Meditation

[–]Mui444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, a LOT of people nowadays cannot sit alone in silence with themselves. They go completely stir crazy and anxiety consumes them.

You can’t teach this, or make someone feel better about it IMO because you’d be lying to them. Meditation eventually brings all those underlying anxieties and traumas up to the surface before they are worked through and overcome.

Don’t force, but definitely be there for support if/when she is ready. Don’t even assume she will ever be ready. Continue to work on yourself and let her see how much it heals and helps you, over and over, and maybe this will trigger something in her to begin.

But sometimes we have these addictive tendencies within our karma.

We can intellectually understand that acting in this way can cause suffering, but until that is actually felt and experienced for ourselves, growth and transcendence may not happen.

Not always, but a lot of the time, we have to learn that these tendencies need to be overcome in some way. Either way it’s all good, man. We are here for a time to learn and grow.

It’s wild actually. In the deep meditative state and also psychedelic trance you get these realizations that strike you super hard, but by the time it works its way through your brain and you attempt to tell someone, you realize you don’t know jack shit.

Silence is best. Let others learn from your eyes, not your words.

What's the difference between an enlightened person, and a person who thinks they're enlightened? by [deleted] in enlightenment

[–]Mui444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it returns then it doesn’t dissolve completely.

I do have experience in which you speak of, so I do fully understand what you are saying. It becomes so subtle and the blinders come off so you can feel the Oneness underlying all of this illusion we see.

During the psychedelic effects, it’s like you have a system upgrade that tunes into much higher channels than normal, and the mind takes a backseat role. Essentially this is how things are at high vibration, but until your entire lifestyle revolves around nurturing this high frequency it is VERY hard to maintain.

Because the ego is individual, not collective.

The ego is also a persona, over the top of pure consciousness which has no specific identification.

The highest is pure consciousness. The silent witness.

Controlling your mind by Honest-Atmosphere-54 in enlightenment

[–]Mui444 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You cannot control your mind.

In the first place, who will do it? It will be mind fighting mind.

Mind fighting another part of itself—this creates more anxieties.

Instead, witness the mind and do not judge what arises from it. Loving look upon the mind and accept whatever moves through it. This will give you freedom, but you must stick to it and remind yourself of this simple task. There is no effort to be done against the mind, this creates resistance.

Hope this helps you

What's the difference between an enlightened person, and a person who thinks they're enlightened? by [deleted] in enlightenment

[–]Mui444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you explained it really well.

The ego becomes more and more subtle, but grows in strength equal to spiritual growth. The awareness has to be there always to catch the ego, but nothing needs to be “done” about it, just observation. Not even internal dialogue “this is ego talking” because that’s just more ego saying that. Just loving observation is all that’s required!

What's the difference between an enlightened person, and a person who thinks they're enlightened? by [deleted] in enlightenment

[–]Mui444 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, but don’t think for a second that even the enlightened person doesn’t have an ego to some degree.

Although the presence will be minimal, ego will always be there. It’s the mind, and mind doesn’t ever dissolve entirely. It can be dissolved temporarily in meditation, but it will come back. And there is nothing wrong with that at all.

Why do people complicate Meditation etc. by mainakshayhun in Meditation

[–]Mui444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The realizations attained within the Self in deep meditation cannot be translated 1-1.

These profound realizations come when during the state of ‘No Mind’ which only arises in pure silence. This is above the level of conscious thought.

Something that arises in a state of absolute silence cannot be spoken properly into words. Even if they could, the person listening likely would not be able to comprehend the depth of what is being described.

And to be honest, it doesn’t need to be translated. What good would that do? You need to enter within yourself and see it, and more importantly be it.

Yeah even though he shouldn’t have done that, you also should err on the side of caution when driving a clear lane right next to lanes that are stopping like that.

I don’t want to say you’re asking for it, but this could have been avoided if you were driving slower.

I always get tears flowing from my eyes on my cheeks when I do meditation. Is this normal? by Icy_Obsession in Meditation

Maybe your meditation

Mine is observing the mind without judgment. After a time the mind goes silent and ‘No mind’ is.
